Pardon the abrasiveness that is sure to be portrayed while I say this: if you are sensitive (and obviously too close to the situation), you shouldn't be reading these boards. Family/Friends are not encouraged to do so, as these are our own opinions and not "personal" as it is for you. Some members here HAVE been on your side - many. There are other forums for support, etc. We are entitled to our opinion, as are you....but perhaps this isn't the best place for you to be reading, as it seems you have a lot of emotion invested in this case. Again, what I've said is "My Opinion Only". Please don't lash out at us for your pain - we are all terribly sorry anyone would have to go through this, but we are seeking justice for the victims, and again, this isn't "personal".

P.S. - I would not apologize/retract any of my theories on any cases...in general. They are opinions I had at the time, are never "attacking" and further discussion.

P.P.S. - I've noticed many members going out of their way to reach out to you, even after you clearly misunderstand our reasons/purpose here, and still, you continue. Please be respectful, as we are trying to be to you. MOO.

This is the private message posted there really isn't anything to hide was just a question directed to: pushsomemore and where did the money come from that was so generously donated??? his parents so whos to say all the children didn't donate

Hi Abracadabra! Good to see you posting again! Was there a question about the source of the reward money? Or is this related to Jr withdrawing the money?

Assistant Prosecutor Steve Kaplan is filing a motion seeking the admission of testimony of a scientist who is expected to say that the slayings of Ronald and Christine Jabalee were committed by someone who knew them and that the crime was “domestic in nature.” The expert would not be able to testify as to whether he believes the Jabalees’ son, also named Ron Jabalee, is the killer.

Next pretrial date Dec 9, 2009, no date for trial yet.

Jabalee's attorney Stephen Rabaut said he's still waiting for various FBI reports, including a polygraph test conducted for Jabalee. Rabaut said he is also awaiting documentation about what may have been seized from computers at Jabalee's home and business.

Police say they noticed and began documenting Jabalee's concerning behaviors shortly after the slayings, but sealed transcripts to prevent authorities from releasing specifics on what prosecutors are calling "financial motives."

I just read about the girl who baked her kitty at 500 degrees. Somebody posted that they had no idea how horrific they'd find her act from the thread title. I came in later & thought the same.

Same thing happened when I read this thread's title - what could match the 10 bodies in the Ohio whack jobs home and while this doesn't...seeing this pic has me horrified .

I was just about to go to bed & my night will probably be riddled with nightmares that she'll get my 2 cats & Manson's escaped Corcoran & hitched a ride to my house in CT. Don't think I'm going read anything my Cruel Sacrifice book about Shanda Sharer tonight :nerves: .

From a jury standpoint, the prosecutor is smart to bring in an expert to testify the crime is "domestic in nature" and was committed by someone who knew the Jabalee's well.

If I were seated on this jury, one of the many indicator's that Ron committed the murder's would be the clean-up that occurred in the garage ... coiling up the hose and replacing it neatly?!

Thanks Colette for finding the case update, hope all is well with you :)

Prosecutor: Motives beyond money

An assistant prosecuting attorney said financial motivations are only part of a case against a man accused of stabbing to death his parents in their New Baltimore home.

Assistant prosecutor Steven Kaplan said in court Wednesday that financial matters are "not a major aspect" of the case against Ronald F. Jabalee, 40, of Clinton Township, accused of brutally killing his parents, Ronald G. and Christine Jabalee, both 58, in October 2006.

Kaplan said "there are other motivations" for Jabalee to kill them.

Kaplan is expected to file a motion for an expert profiler to say that the Jabalees knew their killer or killers and the attack was personal.

The motive issue arose in Macomb County Circuit Court when Jabalee's defense attorney, Stephen Rabaut, wondered why he has not received a "financial analysis" as evidence from the prosecution.

Kaplan responded no financial analysis exists to provide.

Macomb prosecutors have been tight-lipped about their evidence in the case. Prosecutor Eric Smith earlier this year said there was a financial motive in the case.

It has been revealed the younger Jabalee's father in 1999 helped finance his son's opening of RJ Meat Shoppe at the Gratiot Central Market in the Eastern Market in Detroit.

Attorneys for Ronald Jabalee, accused in the 2006 slaying of his parents are seeking to have his murder indictment dismissed on claims of prosecutorial misconduct and lack of evidence. They state prosecutors and police withheld evidence and misrepresented facts to sway the jury and establish guilt. They also allege Prosecutor Eric Smith was improperly present at various stages of the proceedings

According to the documents, prosecutors allege Jabalee was taking money without permission from his father's home equity line of credit. Ron's lawyer says loan documents were never presented to the grand jury and showed that the line of credit was paid down in a timely manner. They also say no DNA or fingerprints at crime scene.

Hello Sadsadsad......... :) it looks like we have each waited long enough for someone to finally report the truth!!!!!! and these articles are derived from actual court documents and/or actual findings!! makes one HAPPYHAPPYHAPPY............ but im not mad at the fact we as the public are influence to believe what the news/media reports. Just in this case, WE KNOW DIFFERENT !!!!!! oh just hang in there all......and as I have said in the past... PRAY THIS NEVER HAPPENS TO ANYONE OF YOU, because it could ! Lets just hope that someday they really find out who did this and let Ron and Christine R.I.P, I think we all need to remember to keep them in our prayers!

Well, if nothing else, that sure is a whole lot of finger pointing.

Interesting........

so ron has a less than an hour hole in his abilbi which is when prosecutors are saying he committed this crime. first they said it was for financial reasons, and since that theory doesn't hold water (as i've said it wouldn't) now they're saying it was emotionally charged. so in a half hour to an hour he got that upset, drove out there, killed his parents, cleaned up, then drove home to debbie and the kids (when his alibi is again intact). sounds like a stretch to me. ron's alibi for that time period is that he was at the new house (the one his lives in now) but was by himself. god forbid something happens when i'm by myself for an hour in the day & i have no alibi is all i've got to say. jmo however.

But Jabalee's attorneys say the elder Jabalee's loan documents were never presented to the grand jury and showed that the line of credit was paid down in a "timely and methodical manner" from January 2006 to March 2007. The line of credit had increased from about $85,000 in January 2006 to $91,000 that October because the credit line had been paid down by $6,000.
The information about the account was not received by New Baltimore police until July 17 -- three weeks after the indictment and three years after the homicides, the defense alleges.
The requests for dismissal also contends:
• The case is circumstantial with no fingerprints, DNA or other physical evidence.
• No viable evidence turned up in a June 2009 search of Jabalee's home and business.
• A former or co-employee of Jabalee Sr., "bookies," a "loan shark," relative, business competitor or gangs could be to blame.
• The grand jury was never told that Jabalee denied killing his parents on several occasions.
Other items noted in the motions include requests for further discovery and criminal histories. The defense also is seeking dismissal of the charges on claims the indictment was defective.

I expected to see something eye-popping revealed by the Defense in asking for dismissal of charges. IMO Ron's Attorney's are grasping at straws. However, I'd like to hear more about the home equity line of credit. The news story does not give adequate details. How would Ron be able to draw on the line if he were not authorized to do so? Why the delay in finding out about the unauthorized use? Was the discovery of this fraud part of the testimony the Uncle gave at the GJ Hearing?

The rest of the grounds for dismissal ... He wore gloves and cleaned up the crime scene. In 2009 three years after the crime I wouldn't expect ANYTHING to found in his home-DUH! The former co-employee forgot to mention the garbageman and the customer who hated the pot roast he purchased. What killer doesn't deny that he committed murder. My point is Ron's Attorneys are doing what they are paid to do.

Seriously?????? in 3 years it took until 3 weeks after to get the loan papers??? HOW CONVENIENT...... yeah ok!!! or you mean, the "pigs" are covering their azzes and saying that it took that long?? because, if they knew the loan existed then obviously they would of investigated it, and any lookn into to it would of given the balance or available credit to date...did they need a 3 yr investigation to do the math?? please ! oh and an hour??? FOR THE RECORD..........NOT EVEN POSSIBLE

Tonight this case will be on America's Most Wanted, details to follow.

The show was basically an answer to the original show about the case now that the son Ron has been charged. They had an expert analyze Ron's earlier interview for America's Most Wanted. He said the were red flags. First red flag was when Ron was asked to say something to AMW's viewers. Instead of pleas for find out who killed my father, he said "it could happen to anybody". A second red flag was there was no emotion, no anger towards the killer of his parents, no frustration with police. I remember when the show first aired Websleuths thought the interview strange also.

Okay, fresh eyes here. This is the first time I've ever heard of this case or seen the picture of the bloody letters. I don't think those first 2 letters are the letter S. I think they're the letter "N". The first time in lower case, the 2nd time a reconsideration to uppercase, but sort of backwards as I believe the victim was having a hard time writing with her fingers and most likely couldn't see what she was writing so was going by feel. I almost immediately saw "Neil" with the next letter being an s or c.

Just what I saw in the letters.

Thank you Colette for the heads up on AMW. Does anyone else find it odd that Ryan Jabalee sent his wife over to check on his parents and she found them and the 911 call was from a male not a female. Who was the male? Also why in the hell would AMW spend time on a 1958 murder that has already been solved, the murderer has already been to the gas chamber? I can think of a million more case that need to be solved when that one was already solved.
