Do they mean “psychotic”? If he’s psychopathic they should be concerned for the community, not Ronnie!

Psychotic would make much more sense.

I totally agree! I hope that everyone in the community has been warned- he is obviously a dangerous person.

Thought about this as well. Here‘s another MSM where his family is explicitly calling him psychopathic. Maybe he’s a nice psychopath? :D

Ha ha! If this is coming from his family, I expect they mean “psychotic.” It’s easy to get confused about terminology. Someone from the press should have questioned them a little more before writing it. Or perhaps the reporter is confused!

Holy moly how terrifying! I’d hope he was in some lockdown facility if he’s been classified a psychopath. Like talk about everyone’s worst nightmare.. I hope this man is found safe and returned to his safe comfortable environment I’d assume he has to have..

I hope he's found safe and sound; although I do believe they mean 'psychotic' it's important to remember that people diagnosed as a psychopath- or technically with antisocial-personality disorder are not essentially dangerous, and typically those diagnosed are receiving care.

Yes, it makes me sad that everyone is immediately assuming he's super dangerous. Obviously if that was the case the public would have been warned. I hope the mistake in the wording doesn't end up getting him hurt or killed.

Unfortunately, all too often people who are psychotic are automatically assumed to be dangerous by the public and LE...and they get hurt or killed. Either way, this man is in danger. I hope he can be found and taken for help without a confrontation.

bbm Me too. Even if he is psychopathic, not all psychopaths are dangerous.

I agree that "psychotic" was probably the word they meant to say.

Psychotic: suffering from a psychosis = a severe mental illness. Can lead to hallucinations and delusions.

Psychopath: an antisocial personality disorder, manifested in aggressive, perverted, criminal, or amoral behavior without empathy or remorse.

I’ve learned something here tonight about the psychopaths and i regret that I immediately thought of a very dangerous individual. It’s hard to reprogramme years and years of programming, hoping he’ll find his way home soon.

My first thought was... why are they “freaking” out. But I then realized they said psychopathic and not psychotic. Yes! People get these mixed up all the time. However, people also see anything with psycho... attached to it and think the worst if they have not researched. I didn’t freak out because my thought was he was last seen sitting on a front porch of a house. Didn’t seem a threat to me.... JMO Of course.

Hope he is found safe soon.
