Mitchelle Blair, mom of 2 Detroit children who were found in a freezer, charged with murder


DETROIT (WXYZ) - The mother of two children who were found dead in a freezer has now been charged with murder.
Mitchelle Angel Blair, 35, has now been charged with two counts of Felony Murder, two counts of Premeditated Murder and one count of Torture. Blair will be arraigned on the amended charges during a probable cause hearing that is scheduled for Thursday.

April 2nd @ 8:30am with Judge King

I had to take a break for a few days. Thanks to everyone for the updates. I am obsessing over these kids, not giving much thought or energy to the mom at this point.

Oddly enough, I have a relative who is a cameraman for one of the TV news stations in Detroit. He just arrived on this side of the country for a few weeks of vacation. He got here right after covering this story for his station as it broke in those first few days. I will see him soon and aside from explaining how I have been following this story, I won't want to hear what he saw. He was apparently pretty shaken up by it. And sure, news camera people see murdered and dead and beaten people more than the common folk, but I can't recall a case where a mom killed her kids and put them - whole bodies - in a freezer, etc.

I want to help these kids.

Wrangling about who should conduct competency evaluation. Defense wants independent psychiatrist concurrently with court competency evaluation. Judge claims he's never done this previously. Competency to waive Miranda in question, as well.

Well that took forever to sort out! Got pushed a whole Month trying to fit it in between the Holidays & Vacations! :facepalm:

We know she confessed from the earlier media. It seems like there is a plea in the works. The minimum has to be LWOP-she is an incredibly dangerous human being. And I use the term human being loosely I have to confess. Watching her was like watching Jerice in her police interviews...for those of you unfamiliar with her, she is the biomom on trial for the torture murder of her 5 year old whose body has not yet been found.

Poor kids have never known what a real loving mother is........ SO SAD.....

When I watch Mitchelle Blair in these hearings as she rolls her eyes, fights back grins, and licks her lips ...

I see a Cold, Emotionless, Being who cares about nothing but herself...

Makes me so :maddening: just watching her.
