Detroit mother sentenced to 23-50 years in prison in daughter's fatal stabbing

Detroit Semeria Greene, the mother of five who pleaded guilty last month to stabbing her eight-year-old daughter to death, will spend 23-50 years in prison for her childs murder.
She was sentenced Monday before Wayne County Circuit Judge Margaret Van Houten.
Greene, who was facing trial in the 2012 slaying of her daughter, Tameria, pleaded guilty following the end of a competency examination hearing that found she was competent to stand trial in her childs murder.
