If it is it looks staged. IMO, it looks thin - perhaps something that he could have caused himself by pulling a thin wire or gold chain on the side of his neck. It's in an awfully strange place as well so far close to the back of his neck, almost like wrapping something around the back of his neck and pulling.

jmo

Almost like a fishing line around the neck if indeed it is not just a normal crease in the neck.

I personally would have a hard time donating to an account that does not explicitly say who it is for. I shudder to think of people pouring money into this bank, only to find out that it is for JS or his defense. I notice it said "for the family". Well, that includes JS. I would be happy to donate money for the search, the mother or something in holding for the children. JMHO, of course.

Respectfully edited. ITA and posted about this upthread. If the boys' bodies are recovered and donations are requested for funeral expenses, I would consider making a contribution for this specific purpose. Right now, the request for donations to a "family bank account" is questionable. jmo

Think I'll email a local TV station and ask if they can get specifics on this bank account.

Is that a line around JS's neck?

IF it is...it couldn't be the result of a hanging. Its too low and the angle is wrong. In a hanging the "line" would almost always be at the top of the neck (like right under the chin) and angled upwards.

Then again it was a "failed" attempt.

Thanks wasn't sure where the normal marks for a hanging would be. Even in a failed attempt one would think the line would be much higher on the neck and a different angle as you described. Based on this close up pix, imo it would be safe to assume there was no serious hanging attempt.

That would be wonderful information to share.

And thanks to Java for the info re: what types of charges could come against anyone who knows the kids are alive and hidden (if that was the case here).

I keep thinking about his Facebook message on Wednesday asking TS and God for forgiveness. I hope the police were able to obtain a copy of the page as evidence. I would imagine that could point to pre-meditation, couldn't it? If he was already thinking about all of this and the boys were last seen 24 hours later, I hope writing something like that could be used. I see how much work many of you do on here (sleuthing) and I hope LE has a good group there so they can gather any and everything JS may have put out there in the days leading up to the crime.

One other thought I had. The police mentioned today they are going to "take the weekend" and gather all the information they have at this point. Is it normal for the police to make such a statement almost 3 days BEFORE the weekend? It struck me as odd, as if they are giving up for the week....

I see that JS shops from the same finest designer racks as MH of OH tree triple murder "fame".

I'm just heartsick at the psychological torture that JS is putting the mother and other famliy through...in addition to the LE, SAR, volunteers and strangers like us who actually care about those little boys. And I still hope and pray that he didn't kill them or leave them out to die somewhere.

Definitely agree!! If it is markings from his "suicide attempt" the line goes straight across as if he wrapped something around his neck and tightened to leave a mark.

This is starting to remind me of the 2003 Sarah & Philip Gehring case. http://philipandsarah.com/ & Found Deceased NH - Sara, 14, & Philip, 11, Gehring, Concord, 2003 *merged* - Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community

He confessed to killing the children, and dumping thier bodies along I-80, but killed himself before revealing where. I used to drive I-80 across PA and into OH for school and when I could, I would stop and look for the land mark clues he did give LE. It was years before these precious ones were found and returned to their mom for proper burial.

petchie, I think many of these monsters study up "on the outside", and then even worse, if they get put in prison, they mingle/communicate with similar monsters and they learn from each other in there, too. That's why I think for a certain level of crime/violence and worse, each should be in solitary confinement forever.

Yes, I am hanging on the media today. For some reason, I am sure that there will be some kind of useful info by the end of the day, so I figure I'll stalk the news sites.

I do think the boys are dead, but it's long past time for them to be found, and I can hold out a little bit of hope until they are found.

Thanks for the info! The description is still a little vague, what side of the family is this for? I would just hate to see funds go to the the defense of the person who killed the young boys. JMO

Since the Mom gained full custody of the boys (too darn late IMO) I think it is safe to assume it is for her expenses whilst she tries to help LE recover her boys.

She will have a trained advocate near her as she tries to recall every place they visited or he mentioned, whilst trying to grasp the enormity of what this man has done. Recovering them quickly is the best she can hope for as we all put up our Christmas lights.

I have a heavy heart for all who loved these boys

She should first stand by her nephews. Or does she still believe her nephews are with JoAnn Taylor? :banghead:

I do not care what she thinks or believes about her brother. Fine, stand by him, support him, but where the hades is the plea for her brother to fess up where her live nephews are?!?!?! :banghead:

Perhaps she knows pleading for anything to her brother thru television is pointless since he was first in a mental hospital and now in jail and not likely to be watching TV.

I know any pleas I would make would be directly not thru the press.
