“According to sources, Morenci Police say John Skelton has admitted to FBI profilers that he killed his sons; however, authorities have decided to hold him on the kidnapping charges at this time.”
---------------
Here is one instance of him admitting to killing the boy’s but, there have been others also

While I had made this post earlier with a link to the source. There is a source contrary to the post above. Just to be clear, I have seen it both way’s now.
--------------
There were also reports that John Skelton admitted to FBI agents that he did in fact kill his three sons. That information cannot yet be confirmed either.

Lucas County Assistant Prosecutor Jeff Lingo said possible extradition on Dec. 14 will depend on him proving Skelton is the man wanted in Michigan and whether Ohio recognizes the charges.
"Ohio has a similar custodial interference statute so extradition is likely," Lingo said.
He added if the children — Andrew, 9, Alexander, 7, and Tanner, 5 — are found in Ohio, Skelton likely would face more charges in the state. If they are found dead, Lingo warned: "We have the death penalty here."
Skelton has been held under suicide watch at the Lucas County Jail in Ohio. Under Michigan law, a parent convicted of taking or concealing a child without permission of the other parent can face up to a year in prison on a felony.
Meanwhile, Weeks said today said the organized search for the missing children will be discontinued Friday night. After that, searches will be conducted in response to tips and the police investigation.
He asked local residents to search their properties. People with large properties could receive help from volunteers by contacting the police, he said.
"We appreciate their assistance," he said about the hundreds of volunteers who have been searching since Saturday.
He said police have received hundreds of tips, and will assess them over the weekend as they decide which places to search next.

Does anyone know if there is a more specific timeline anywhere (WS or MSM)?
Wondering what kind of time frame he had from the last time they were seen, to the toll road videos, cell phone pings, to the time he ended up in the hospital/kids were reported missing.

This has been bugging me - where are the search dogs? Maybe dogs are being used but honestly have only seen one picture of where a dog appeared to be in use and this was early on in the searches. Thought I had a picture saved of the searcher and dog but can't seem to locate it right at the moment - not even sure if the dog was a search dog but suspect it may have been.

ETA: Just rambling - have found that search dogs have been used:

MORENCI, Mich. – The head of Detroit's FBI office says two planes, police dogs and the agency's behavioral science experts are aiding the search for three southern Michigan boys who went missing on the same day their father tried to hang himself.

ETA2: Not having the best of organized days here - here is the one picture of a dog that I have from the searches

Authorities, including FBI child abduction teams and behavorial science experts, have used planes and search dogs to scour areas along the state line.

Please forgive my random thoughts, but I could really use some clarification.

Is it my understanding that the boys were seen at their father's home in MOrenci, MI on Thursday night and at some point, JS drove to Ohio, then drove back to his home in MI to "committ suicide" and then called someone to have him driven to a hosptial in Ohio???

Does Morenci not have a hospital??

Im local here....If you go straight out Central Ave. (route 20) past County Road 16 , the very next road past 16 that is County road 108 (there is a sharp curve there and also a Valero Gas Station )..., leading you into Morenci...just passed 108 ,hang a sharp right at the valero gas station....there are literally tens of trucks, paramedics, fire trucks, police, people etc. searching the woods. Way back. Flashlights, searchlights. No one is reporting this, but they are searching after dark back there. ALOT of people. Does not look good. This area is heavily wooded and it backs up to Morenci. Interestingly, one side of the street is Ohio and the other side Is Michigan..if the poor boys are there...could be why there seems to be an extradition problem maybe??

It would seem that after Morgan's case that those with farms/ranch property would get on their tractors or 4 wheelers and search their property lines. Hopefully, $10,000 will be an incentive if these 3 missing boys hasn't been enough motivation .

I don't know for sure, but Morenci is such a small community that it's doubtful they have a hospital that would accept psychiatric patients. To the best of my knowledge of that area, Jackson is the closest Michigan city that has major medical facilities, and it's about the same distance from Morenci as Toledo, Ohio. There are also medical facilities in Adrian.

Does Morenci not have a hospital??
snipped

Not likely. These are very small towns in this area... couple hundred people, a gas station and a post office. The closest large hospital is probably the Toledo area.

(speculation, as I've never been to Morenci, but I know the general area)

Apologize in advance for my numerous pending questions....

Are they searching both sides of this road? You say that the road leads into Morenci, about how long would it take to get there and do you know how far this area is from where they were searching yesterday??

Since the Mom gained full custody of the boys (too darn late IMO) I think it is safe to assume it is for her expenses whilst she tries to help LE recover her boys.

She will have a trained advocate near her as she tries to recall every place they visited or he mentioned, whilst trying to grasp the enormity of what this man has done. Recovering them quickly is the best she can hope for as we all put up our Christmas lights.

I have a heavy heart for all who loved these boys

I was happy to see that the Mom now has custody (I second the too darn late part). It's a good thing that she filed and that's it's been taken care of in case the boys are held up somewhere and are still alive. She will have expenses for the remainder of the search and I also assume that's what the fund was set up for. I've seen accusations fly over money before so it's always best to lay out the intentions so people are aware what the money is being used for.

This is such a sad case to be following.

I tried to follow jashrema's directions and couldn't make any sense out of them. lol

Are you local to Morenci or Holiday City? Some of the roads you mentioned see to be Holiday City.

Yes, thanks, jashrema. Did you see any K9's (dogs) with their handlers? (I realize it must have been hard to see details in the dark)
