Hooray! This news brought tears - happy AND sad.
To be sure, it's an uphill battle, but it's possible to successfully prosecute a no body case. My state did it with the James Hicks case back in the 80s. The only draw back was it turned into a lesser charge with a lighter sentence, which he served only a portion of and got an early release for good behavior. Only to murder another woman after, and nearly kill a 4th in Texas, after.a "no body" murder case is an uphill battle.
Sending all the good vibes to that prosecutor!

When they finally found his first victim, the one he was convicted of killing in the no body case, double jeopardy applied, which stunk, but I believe he ended up with 2 life sentences for 2 other victims.
I suppose (hate to type this !) they could offer a plea deal in exchange for the bodies ?I was relieved to hear this today. These sweet boys will get justice. Kind of figure this would happen. Surprised they haven't found them. Michigander here.
Wouldn't the youngest be 20 now?yes, all three boys will be over the age of 18 by the end of November 2025
I have to admit, I had given up hope for justice for the boys. I am so happy to read of these charges, finally. Finally!
