Woman, 78, shot, killed when angry teen allegedly targeted house with red curtains
A preliminary examination began Tuesday, Feb. 20, in the case of Arion James Wagner, 19, who faces multiple felony charges including murder for the death of Nora Luna. He also is accused of assaulting his girlfriend, allegedly forced to drive him to the shooting site.
Arion James Wagner, 19, appeared Feb. 20 in Jackson County District Court for the start of a a preliminary examination. He faces multiple felony charges including murder for the death of Nora Luna, a 78-year-old woman unaffiliated with Wagner who happened to have such curtains, according to testimony. She suffered a gunshot wound to her head while sleeping on her couch.
