Police seek public's help to find missing woman
21734029-mmmain.jpg

Police in Burton and Flint Township are searching for information to help find two women that have been missing for weeks.

Burton police Detective Don Schreiber said Teresa Towne-Woolard was last seen Dec. 5 at Kings Lane Apartments off Hemphill Road where she lives.

"It's not like her at all to not contact her daughters daily, by either phone or text," he said, with the family having contacted police after her extended absence.

From link above, there is a second woman missing from same area:
"
Laquandra Shavonne Slater, 38, is an African-American woman standing 5-foot-4 inches tall, weighs 178 pounds, and has short black hair.

Her vehicle was located around Atherton Road and Van Slyke Road in Flint and appeared to be abandoned. A missing person reported was filed with Flint Township police Dec. 8."

This woman is deeply missed and there seem to be no clues. I hope she turns up safe and soon.

I think that is her Facebook but trying to connect with her.
Also, it seems someone around Feb 5th give or take has created a copy of her fb page. This person(most likely not her) are sending friend requests to those that were her friends on Facebook before she went missing.

Interesting that they plan to search for these two in the same search. Here is Brianna's thread: https://www.websleuths.com/forums/s...Brianna-Vibert-24-Genesee-County-15-July-2017

Flint Police address fears of missing women reports

FLINT, Mich. (WJRT) - (09/12/17) - It's been stated on social media up to 40 women are missing, but Flint Police Detective Tyrone Booth says it's not clear where that number came from.

Because, right now, he says they only have 4 reports of missing women in the City of Flint.

[h=1]Search party organized to look for two missing Genesee County women[/h]
GENESEE COUNTY, MI -- A search party has been put together to look for a pair of missing Genesee County women.

Flint Township and Burton police along with the Genesee County Search and Rescue Team have teamed up with search groups Bring our Missing Home and Midwest Chapter of Texas Equusearch to try and find Teresa Woolard and Brianna Vibert.
The search party plans to head out in groups at 8 a.m. Saturday, March 10, from a command center at Kearsley High School, 4302 Underhill Drive, in Genesee Township on their individual assignments across the county.
Burton police Detective Don Schreiber said Woolard was last heard from Dec. 10, 2016, in a text message to her daughter. She was last seen Dec. 5, 2016, at Kings Lane Apartments off Hemphill Road where she lives.
"We've got some investigative leads that we are going to focus on," he said, but Schreiber declined to comment on where the search groups would head. "We're working different angles and avenues now."

"And yes, it's possible all four were in the area of Fenton and Atherton Roads on the City's south side, but Detective Booth says that's the only piece connecting their cases."

Snip

"The concern over the high number of missing women and the Department's surveillance of social media actually prompted a meeting Tuesday between area law enforcement agencies. They met to clarify statistics and determine what more resources they needed to be utilizing."

Weather postpones search party to look for missing Genesee County women

A search party set to venture out this weekend to look for two missing Genesee County women has been pushed back by seven days due to the wintry conditions leaving several inches of snow in the area.

[h=3]Community organizes search for 2 missing women[/h]
“The sad part is that you have to go and do it. That’s the sad part about this whole scenario is that we shouldn’t have to be doing this,” said David Rader, director of the Midwest Chapter of Texas Equusearch.
Rader said he is hoping for a miracle or at least some progress in the missing persons case of Brianna Vibert and Teresa Towne-Woolard. They are two of eight women that have gone missing in Flint over the last few years.
“We had a conversation with the lead detectives on the cases and decided that they could use our help. So, here we are,” Rader said.
Rader’s organization, as well as Bring Our Missing Home and several local police departments will be meeting at 8 a.m. in the gym at Kearsley High School and then setting out to search high and low for both Vibert and Towne-Woolard.“We’ll break everyone into teams. We have selected spots around town that we think is important to both cases and we’ll send people in those areas to look for the two women,” Rader said.

GENESEE COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -Teresa Woolard and Brianna Vibert are two of eight missing women cases that were highlighted in TV5’s I-Team report in November.
A search was held in hopes of discovering any clues to the disappearance of the women.
“We want our sister home,” said Laura Toth, Teresa Woolard’s sister.
Woolard went missing from Burton in December of 2016. No one has seen or heard from her since.
“It was like somebody plucked her right out of her life and with no trace, none,” Toth said.
To help find her sister, Toth is checking in volunteers at the search party headquarters at Kearsley High School.
But she’s not the only person they’re looking for. Woolard is one of the eight women currently missing from the Flint area.

I'm so sad we didn't get any follow up stories after the search last month. I guess they didn't find anything. Sigh.
