Oh, I hope Venus receives the justice she deserves. Maybe when it's all over, he'll tell where he put her body.

I doubt it, but we can hope. He needs to give his little girls answers.

Thanks Coldpizza! I've had a lot of help with that lately.
This case is close to my heart.

You know how some cases just affect you more than others? This one had that effect on me. My heart bleeds for those little girls and Venus' parents. To think Venus is still out there somewhere and HE KNOWS where she is but won't say, really pizzes me off. KWIM?

So glad the trial is starting. I'll be following the twitter link provided by Crocus tomorrow.

CENTREVILLE, Mich. (WOOD) - Ten months after Venus Stewart vanished from outside her parents' home in Colon Township, the murder trial of her estranged husband, Doug, begins in a St. Joseph County court Wednesday.

A jury of 14 people, including two alternates, was selected late Tuesday afternoon. Judge Paul Stutesman will preside over the trial, which is expected to last through the week of March 11. He issued a gag order in the case several months ago, in an effort to keep information to a minimum before the trial begins.
