YIKES, :blushing:, I mentioned it only because it can be done...she was older so I called her school and spoke with the principal who agreed to receive it. The school was AWESOME in that they did NOT give me any address info for her...which I thought was outstanding given that I was a stranger and alll.....

can we stick with sleuthing out who Richard Spencer is and how he might be related to this crime? We know from media that he did not turn himself in but was found. Now I might infer that this means he is in custody somewhere. There have been additional statements in the media indicating that Spencer might have played XBOX with DS etc. So is he a school mate?

Hey, I'm completely gay friendly. All the way around. I get your point... and I don't think that anyone was trying to be malicious. I don't consider homosexuality a character flaw by any means. I only think that if we're going to have an honest conversation, then that can't be left out of the possibilities.

Richard is not in custody. That was stated clearly at the presser yesterday.

According to Dustin, Richard and Doug met through xbox.

I think that when we finally learn who Richard Spencer is, we'll find out that he's younger than Doug, maybe 18-21 years old. I have no knowledge that this is so, but it seems to me that Doug would be able to manipulate and control someone younger than he is.

As much as I'd like to know what he meant by that phrase, I think it would be VERY unusual for a adult gay male to be interested in (and acting upon) female child sexual acts....assuming DS actually did sexually abuse his daughter.

I have some ideas:
1. A drug or gambling problem.
2. Bipolar disorder
3. sex addiction (hate this is being used for everything these days)
4. A secret life: I.E. he had been fired/layed off, told her he'd found new job, but wasn't actually going there each day. (**Casey Anthony pretending she still worked at Disney World**)
I think that if Venus was told any of the above early in the relationship, she might have tried to help him work through his problems...and stuck it out with him.

well, I think I'm going to do it a lot from now on - I just think I can do more to reach out to crime victims & that was a good idea you had

and Venus' parents will be the first to receive something from me - I actually have teddy bears here b/c I often stockpile them to give them out at the Children's Hospital here over holidays so I think I'll choose two pretty ones and box them up for the girls this weekend

In one of the papers that I saw that was written by Venus, she was very angry about him playing Xbox, even said that he tried to hide his gaming from her, that he'd stay up all night playing and once told her that he was going to work, and she found him somewhere playing Xbox.

I wish I could find that again. It was on a piece of paper that was shown on a video...I froze it and forgot to transcribe it, so I guess that this counts as rumor.

And just to be clear... I do not equate homosexuality with child molestation. It is a fact that most child molesters are hetero, so I really hope that no one thinks that I was equating the two.

1. he seems to have younger friends on his mS
2. most people (I would assume) who play xbox are younger (ok, maybe I shouldn't assume that but you get my drift)

idk though ... I can think of arguments for an older man too ... such as the life experience of possibly feeling betrayed by a woman

Clearer heads than mine have communicated adequately about why the homosexuality aspect may be lower on the totem pole than say something along the lines of the guy was addicted to XBOX and Venus was an XBOX widow....or maybe DS has demonstrated a few things very clearly:
1.) He does not handle being challenged very well.
2.) His response to "losing" is murder which is pretty immature. Over simplified, but you get the point.
3.) IF he molested his child/ren, perhaps he is socially immature as well.
4.) If DS hangs with younger people, it could be simply because he is not up to the intellectual challenge of peers, OR he prefers people he can manipulate.

While I do not recall John McDonough saying RS is not in custody, I do recall him saying he is not in MI. Seeing as the primary investigator for the case appeared at the presser, I am hard pressed (lol) to believe he is being questioned too far away. JMO.

This video bothered me immensely as he was so busy videotaping Venus that he wasn't watching the baby after she fell onto her back and was screaming. It didn't appear he picked her up to comfort her at all.

It bothered me the way he was bossing Venus around. Seems to be a very domineering type person. I felt awful for Venus. And he just totally left the baby in the water when he ran off to film Venus and the older child.

Spencer has not been charged with a crime and was not being held by police, as of Wednesday, due to his cooperation, McDonough said. He will at some point face charges, however, and is expected to testify at a hearing on evidence against Douglas Stewart scheduled for July 1, the prosecutor said.

So we have one week until we see Richard Spencer. I wonder what he'll be charged with, and if the DA is waiting until after Richard testifies at the hearing to charge him.

I wish that someone in the media would ask Dustin to clarify that statement! I guess if it's bisexuality/homosexualty, it will eventually come out. Like you said, I just don't know what else it could be that she might accept.

I have scoured the innertubes looking for a Richard Spencer that could be THE Richard Spencer, but there are too many to narrow it down. Would like to see what this guy looks like--how he could have pulled off being Doug for a day.

Dustin is a very religious person from what I can gather. That whole article was very religious in nature, with people "losing their way", accepting Jesus into their hearts, prayer, baptisms, etc. Plus he's very involved with his church. It's possible that when Venus got baptized or "saved" as some like to call it, maybe Dustin tried to get Doug on board with religion and perhaps he wasn't receptive, maybe that's what he's talking about? He says he spent time with Doug but Doug lost his way...so it kinda sounds like Dustin may have been trying to "show him the way"...if that makes sense...

by the way, they did amend the article finally and removed the name Spencer from it...WTG WOOD TV 8

spencer was posing as doug, doug isn't in the 18 - 21 range and even without seeing a persons face you can tell by their demeaner most of the time at least their age group. even without that since spencer WAS taking a chance of someone seeing his face, 18 - 21 couldn't have passed for doug.
