Police need public's help to find missing Midland woman

Victoria Jean Kilbourne, 74, was reported missing by family and friends. Her last reported contact was on Monday, June 25, Midland police said.

"The lack of communication from Victoria is out of character for her. Victoria has no medical history that would be of concern to the family/friends," police said.

A woman who was missing and endangered was found dead by the Midland Police Department.

Police said they have a person of interest in custody on unrelated charges for further investigation.

74-year-old Midland County woman's death ruled homicide

An autopsy confirmed the death of a 74-year-old Midland County woman who was missing for nearly a week died of a homicide.

Police are still determining whether the person of interest, who is being held on $750,000 bond, was involved in Kilbourne's death. No charges have been filed in that case.

Wallace was arrested on an unrelated weapons charge, but was named a person of interest in the case after police say he tried to cash a $2,000 check from his aunt.

Huntington Bank put the check on hold and reported it as fraudulent when they noticed the signature on the check didn’t match Kilbourne’s.

Police later obtained a search warrant for Wallace’s vehicle where they found a roll of tape matching the tape found on Kilbourne’s body.
