Circumstances of Discovery
The victim's bones were found by a dredging crew at the edge of the Everglades near the Tamiami Trail and 144th Avenue in April 2003. Police believe he was murdered and his bodied dumped, perhaps as many as 25 years ago. He may have been in the often violent cocaine wars that marked the early 1980s.
