Michael was a freshman at UCLA in 1999. He had been playing a computer game with a friend for several hours. The game ended about 4:00 am on December 10, 1999. Michael's roommate woke up at 9:00 am and found that Michael had vanished. All of his personal belongings, including his shoes and wallet, were left behind.
Search dogs tracked his scent into Los Angeles, but no other trace of Michael was found. Foul play is suspected.
