The Daily Mail Article is starting to change little by little.

No mention of blonde hair now.
The sun glasses are "red horn-rimmed sunglasses".
And the swim suit now described "rhinestone-embellished two-piece beaded swimsuit"

The Greek missing persons charity, Lifeline Hellas, issued a Silver Alert on Saturday after the police were unable to locate her.

'Her life is in danger. If you know anything, contact the Silver Alert service, 24 hours a day, at the National SOS Line 1065,' the alert said.

A Silver Alert is issued to notify citizens about the disappearance of elderly people, especially those with dementia or Alzheimer’s.

That's sad if she has dementia and has wandered off. Seems likely that she might be in the sea. I hope not.

Interesting... almost as if the most ambiguous photo was provided on purpose? JMO MOO
When I saw the photo, my heart sank. I thought if I go missing, my husband wouldn't have a recent or decent photo of me. We just don't take photos of each other and even my license photo was over 20 years old until last January when I finally got a new one.

If a local tree goes missing or the flowers in the local botanical garden don't come up, I have dozens of photos to use for a missing poster.

It's possible they don't have a better picture to use, though she should have a passport picture handy, right?

Having said that, I am likely concerned about the same thing others on this thread are concerned about. imo

A Silver Alert was issued after authorites failed to locate the woman.

Authorities confirmed to The Sun that the woman is British national - and has been identified as Michele Ann Joy Bourda.

They believe her life could be in danger.

Greece's Hellenic Coast Guard has confirmed to The Sun that a search operation via sea continues.

The woman was last seen wearing a two-piece beaded swimsuit, yellow beach shoes, and red sunglasses.
This one gave me an instant bad feeling. Last seen by whom?

It is understood she went to the beach with her husband, who was allegedly asleep when the woman disappeared.
Is this just according to the husband? Are there lifeguards?
When he woke up, the woman was nowhere to be found, according to local media.

Sources say the woman's belongings were still at the beach after she disappeared.

How long was he asleep? I hate that this is all sourced from translations of local media and unnamed sources. I hope they've checked his house in Serres. It's about an hour's drive from the beach per google maps.

MOO it's kind of weird to take your wife (who may have dementia) to a beach, then fall asleep while you're right next to water.

I'm not convinced she was ever at the beach. IMO the authorities should be checking the Serres house and the entire route from there to the beach.

'At least ten foreign tourists were found dead or disappeared last year in Greece while going for a hike, often in high temperatures, the New York Times reported. ''

It is but some people don't have much common sense.
Of course it could be suspicious too.

Snipped

She's described has having curly brown hair, though the photo provided shows straight hair.

We do need a current photo, imo.

I wouldn’t describe 59 as elderly. Is there any evidence of her having early onset dementia?

It would make sense that they also have links/property in the UK as in a dual nationality marriage.
IMO

I'm confused but I'll delete my comment! Thank you!

According to DementiaUk.org it is estimated that over 70,000 people live with young onset dementia in the UK.

Young being diagnosed under the age of 65.

59 is no age, if indeed Michele has it.

No it's not elderly which makes me think she does have dementia. Nothing has been said about her having that as far as I can see, but I doubt the silver alert would be used because of her age.

According to local media, she lived with her husband, who is reportedly of Greek origin, in the Macedonian city of Serres.

🤔
Yet she appears to have been on the electoral register in Glasgow since 2018 (see post #15 above). I can appreciate a mixed British-foreigner couple having places to live in both their countries of origin but there does seem to be uncertainty as to her UK address.

Quite distinctive I would have thought, and surely the beach would have been busy at this time.

The police have been conducting a search on land for the tourist, while Greece's Hellenic Coast Guard have been searching in the sea, but the central port authority in Kavala told the Daily Mail that rescuers might call off the operation by the end of the day on Monday.
