Quite distinctive I would have thought, and surely the beach would have been busy at this time.
Embellished is different than "beaded" as originally posted.

So rhinestone embellishment could mean some beads by the straps or cleavage area. It probably didn't really stand out, except if you see that suit, you might recognize her.

when i translate the missing persons website it says she’s “elderly unidentified”.. i wouldn’t say 59 is elderly, but i think maybe for some people elderly is 55+? i wonder what people in greece think is elderly!

i’m not 100% convinced she has to have dementia or a similar condition (but it could be the case of course)

Just comparing the two main articles posted by Daily Mail and Sky News. Hard to get to what's what really with this.

Daily Mail Article
Sources claim Ms Bourda's belongings - her clothes and bag - were left behind on the beach beside her chair after she vanished.

Sky Article
The coastguard is investigating reports that her belongings were left on the beach.

I've seen a few newspaper articles of other cases describing someone who is 50 as being elderly.
It was awhile ago though.

I don't think she looks too happy in that photo.

If it is a beach mainly used by locals perhaps they avoided being there during the hottest part of the day and went home before midday.

The reports say she went missing at noon, but was only reported missing in 'the evening'.
If my partner went missing near water, leaving their belongings behind, I would be extremely worried and wouldn't wait what seems like several hours to report it.
I presume they would have taken their phones to the beach (Michele leaving hers in her bag?) so I hope police have checked that and the husbands phone to help corroborate timings etc.

I wonder how the timing can be so precise -if the husband was asleep when she disappeared ?
I would have expected the wording to say he last saw her at X time - and then she was not there at Y time, when he woke up.

I agree, I would be alerting almost straight away, after I had done a quick search.
Perhaps he was searching for several hours - well as soon as he woke up of course - and then, by the time he went to the police and gave his report and had it officially logged, the time was 7pm

If her clothes are next to her "sleeping" husband, then she did not go for a walk. If she went for a walk, she would have put on her shoes. The implication is that she went into the water and vanished - riptide, eaten by a shark, sank to the bottom.

Is she wealthy? Does she own her own home(s)?

How long have they been married?

What is her career?

Is it speculation that she disappeared from a beach, therefore she might have dementia, or has someone other than her husband offered this as fact?

This is why dementia was mentioned

The Greek missing persons charity, Lifeline Hellas, issued a Silver Alert on Saturday after the police were unable to locate her.

'Her life is in danger. If you know anything, contact the Silver Alert service, 24 hours a day, at the National SOS Line 1065,' the alert said.

The journalist has not got their facts correct . This silver alert is used for all missing adults whatever their age.

That's what I thought.

But maybe it means older people in Greece ?

That makes a big difference!

A 59yo woman missing is not the same as a 59yo woman with dementia missing.

Sigh.

Sounds like we need a medical, or family (non-husband), statement about whether she is mentally fit.

I was just thinking the same thing.

Makes a big difference whether someone with dementia wandered off in a bathing suit with no shoes because she's confused, or whether she's 100% mentally fit and we're to believe that she vanished from a beach chair.

Even if her husband is sleeping (obviously not a deep sleep on the beach at noon in the hot sun), wouldn't she say - hey, going for a swim ??
