Three months after the murder, we have search warrants related to a trip that JY supposedly took with his family members. This evidence is related to his motive for killing MY. So the interviews were conducted at the end of November, and they are just getting around to checking this evidence as well as some other information from around the time they were married.
I'm beginning to think that the case could have an end in sight. I'm sure I will leave out a ton of info so please feel free to correct me or add any information that could be relevant.
LE is looking for motive, opportunity, and physical evidence. It has been said that LE has video evidence from the gas station in duffield as well as the hampton in where he stayed. I also beleive that LE has done their best to track down any so called business meeting and find any relevant information. Some would disagree on this point but I think that this will not be as difficult to find any supposed business meeting through client lists, hotel records, possible use of business credit card, etc.... I can't be certain but have a feeling that LE has convinced themselves that he had the opportunity if they are still getting warrants as recent as a week ago regarding motive. For now, I have disregarded the possibility of a hired hit for many reasons that I won't go into.
Physical evidence is going to be tricky imo. There are two roads on this path, the crime of passion or the planned murder. I am split on this one and depending on what time of the day you ask, I will give you a different answer. Right now, I'm on the planned route so take it into consideration. Meredith states on the 911 call that there are little bloody footprints all over the place. No mention of regular footprints so I think he was very careful. Since he lived in the house, I am hoping there is forensic evidence against him. As stated earlier today, not all of the evidence is back but they are still looking at motive. Leads me to beleive they have something. Footprints, hair, fingerprints, skin cells were all taken for COMPARISON. No matter how careful he was, something this violent has to leave some trace of evidence. Hopefully blood but a big old footprint would do for me.
Motive could be a ton of things. Marital problems, financial problems, infidelity, or life insurance. Or all of the above. The good thing is they are still looking. If they had neither the physical evidence or had he not had the opportunity to do it, I don't think they would still be digging for dirt on the relationship. They stated that not all of the evidence has been returned but they didn't say that none of the evidence was back. Imo, they have a match of some sort or they would be looking another direction. Someone told me the week after the murder that they were having problems in the marriage, she had gone to counseling, and possibly told him that she was leaving (or kicking him out one) and I totally disregarded this information. I would not be suprised in the least if this turns out to be completely true.
Jmo, of course......
