Good day, everyone! I'm glad we are having a healthy discussion about this. I had to leave yesterday after my last post to Otto and hoped not to offend anyone with my comment(s).

I would still be on that proverbial fence IF JY were working with authorities. I can't say media interviews would sway me to his innocence, because I've seen too many of them go the wrong way. Hacking is a good example.

If JY is innocent, one would think by now he'd be putting some type of pressure on the detectives to find out why his wife's (and unborn son) murderer hasn't been found.

Of course this is from my book "What to do if your spouse is murdered and you didn't do it."

Please, someone, put me back on the fence and tell me that JY didn't murder his wife and unborn son. Please let it be the newspaper delivery man, repairman or some crackhead hanging around in the woods. I would also love for Cassidy to have at least her loving father to guide her through her young life.

I can only hope that JY is working with LE through his attorney. That would really make my day.

Hi Taximom - (everytime I see your hat I go back to the days when I taxied my kids all over the countryside, lol).

All this fence talk reminds me of the Peterson case in the beginning - when everyone was saying just 'cause he has a girlfriend doesn't mean he's a murderer. I was never on the fence there because when I first heard SP was fishing on Christmas Eve with a 7 mo pregnant wife, I knew he did it. Perhaps that was wrong of me but I just had to go with my gut feeling.

Then we had Geragos picking apart the prosecution witnesses and I started to get a little nervous....make that very nervous!!! It was a circumstantial case and It wasn't until Grogan took the stand with his 48 reasons that I breathed a sigh of relief.

The difference between this case and that is that there are no leaks here so with what little we have we start to second guess ourselves and maybe start over analyzing and create doubt. I think this is normal in a circumstantial case. To me it comes down to common sense and I don't really believe in coincidences when it comes to murder.

It's been 2 months now....hopefully we'll hear something substantial over the next month.

Hi Ocean! I don't understand why this isn't a high profile case either unless it's because it's simply because there are no leaks yet. This is the closest thing to an outright ban on plublication that I've ever seen. Catherine Crier usually has something when we get some sort of a tidbit and so does Nancy Grace so maybe it's just a matter of time. Greta did look like she was going to get into it - Jim Hammer was there for a week (I think) but he came up empty handed.

With SP - It quickly became a media frenzy. The families gave press conferences from day 1. It grabbed the attention of everyone because searches were going on for a 'missing' woman on Christmas Eve. The 'other' woman came forward and SP started giving damage control interviews. Then of course....Geragos became involved.

Yes, Peterson was a little different with all the leaks etc. (I was holding my breath throughout the trial as well!) The JY case has been hard to keep alive with what little we know. I can say that with what little I've heard, I think JY is guilty.

I imagine right now you are rather busy but when you get a chance could you study on something ? Since there is no news on this case I have spent some time reflecting on things and have some questions that perhaps you are best capable of answering.

First, LE had control of the crime scene for 14 days (roughly 10.5 working days but I suspect they used virtually every day). I'm thinking that since Michelle was found in the bedroom on the floor that, a fair amount of time would have been spent in that room but certainly not a majority of the time. I recall in a couple of interviews with Sheriff Harrison that he commented on how big the house was. Given this, how likely is it in your opinion that possibly more of the house was directly involved than just the master bedroom ?

We have the comments from Meredith that the "place doesn't look like it normally does". This has always been a bit unclear to me as to whether she is referencing the house or just the bedroom. Then I start wondering if Meredith noticed something the second she entered the house but became distracted by Cassidy. Meredith was under the impression that MY was suppose to be at work (per the 911 tape). Do you think it is possible that Cassidy could have tracked blood to the entrance area of the house ( I know we have no idea how far that would be). I am wondering since Cassidy asked for a wash cloth if it is possible in your opinion that there could have been blood smears on the wall(s) coming down the stairs and into the main areas of the house ? Enough for now but still pondering - will ask you more later when you have a bit more time. TIA

LOL Yes! - I couldn't get them fast enough to the DMV fast enough on their birthdays' to get their learners license. But the bad news is then you get to worry about them when they're out driving! :banghead: The best thing I ever heard around that time was my garage door opening to say they'd made it home!! :crazy:

Another question - any possibility that the girlfriend who came to watch GA with MY (who remains unidentified and out of the media) saw JY as she was leaving the sub-division ? She might have known, possibly, he was out of town on business even if she didn't see him leave - and definitely would have known if she saw him leave. There are only two streets in and out of the Enchanted Oaks sub-division.

ETA - supposedly JY's SUV was returned to him today - WRAL - will try to find link.

It is a good indication that the forensics (if taken) from the SUV have been returned. The vehicle would not be released until such time.

Hi ya Charlie, Hope this isn't a dumb question, but I'm wondering if the DA is building a case against JY, would they have returned the SUV if they plan to arrest him for her murder? They kept Scotts truck for a looong time after the forensics were done.

I really think it depends on the DA - Distasio wanted to use Scott's truck at trial - along with the boat so the jury could see it. Judge said no to the truck - only SPs blood in there but kept the boat - evidence of Laci was found in the boat.

It is possible that the forensics in this case found nothing or the DA has requested video taping (normal) and photographs. I think it is rather routine to return a vehicle unless the crime was actually committed within the vehicle. So I don't read a whole lot into this.

Hi Otto, Thanks for all your thoughts on JY's guilt vs his innocence. I pretty well concur with Ocean on this, well maybe leaning a bit more towards his guilt from the points Charlie outlined in a recent post.

But I do agree with you on JY's being a very clever guy. Having just seen the Robb case into 1 1/2 weeks now and the husband is named as a suspect and the arrest looks imminent, it is obvious that in Michelles murder we are not as fortunate to have the ducks all lined up after these 2 months that seem like ages.

CE is more time consuming to gather it seems, and not knowing exactly what LE has beyond what we have learned, they are lacking something. So I'd have to say I have my foot on that fence, which I will be happy to put down if we learn someone else committed the crime!

Well finally! Thanks RC I remember the argument over SP's truck as well so they can use photos, video and lab info for court. I think LE was smart grabbing the SUV right away but I don't think if Jason did this he wore bloody clothes to drive off in. He would've changed right there, bagged the clothes and tossed or burned them somewhere far away imo.
