As a sales rep, a cell phone is a very important part of your necessary equipment. Why would a sales rep have his cell off during business hours?

It will be interesting to hear just how much of the time he was ehhh......on the road he had his cell phone off. Did he learn from previous cases that if he has his cell phone on they can track your whereabouts?

Of course: he was on business, only in his new job 3 mos - off on an out-of-town business call... and in sales as you say - your cell phone is virtually your bank deposit slip.

Last sentence of yours? Great thought. Makes you wonder!

This is interesting ! Seems to me the cell phone, if turned on, could actually give the police an estimate of what time he left and what tower zones he transgressed on his travels that night as well since phones automatically go into roaming mode now days. Unless of course it was turned off when he left from his home, which would of course be rather suspicious in itself...

Great point !

MREG2 - you are so right!!!!!!

I can't WAIT to get some info on the whole timeline b/c I am SURE that something will NOT add up. It would be very hard to coordinate all of the different factors, IMO.

Hi yep that it is, MrsM. And there's now an even *longer* post over at the other blog where "dumb" posted. However, the latest one follows the same lines as the first - more detail and not as vitriolic.

H O W E V E R .... please comment and see if you think what I am thinking as this point screams out problems imo. (I could respond to the entire post over there - just don't have the energy, lol):

3) On another board, someone absurdly asked, why Jason was not notified of his wifes death while he was driving to Brevard. Can you imagine if you were driving somewhere by yourself, to suddenly receive a phone call stating your wife and unborn son were dead and presumed murdered? Can you imagine the shock of that? Upon learning of Michelle's death, the young family made the decision that no one should receive news like that while driving a car alone. Jason was told of Michelle's death when he arrived at their home. I believe most normal families would have behaved in this way.

IFF this poster is telling the truth, then .... is Jason's alibi connecting?

If he was "in the car and still driving all that way by himself " - that means it was well after 1 (judging by the 911 call and timing) and he still hadn't reached Brevard, yet? And he claims he left home at ... what ... 10:30 night before? 16/17 hours later he's in the car driving to his parents? So why didn't he get up early and leave for 'business'? Why spend money on a hotel when you have a home to sleep in and get up early?

When was his business appointment?

Sumtink not kwite white. Maybe it's just me... :bang:

I think this poster is way off. Trying to stir up trouble. I would just ignore him/her. Probably doesn't even know the family.

This thread is long..LOL I have been trying to read and from the beginning and catch up...but I am mot fast enough.

I know this is posted somehwere but if you all dont mind I would like to ask a few quick questions:

1. Do we know what the sister was supposed to do with the fax she pixked up from the house and was there a fax there to pick up as Jason requested her to do?

2. How many children do they have? I thought just the 2 year old daughter or is there another child???.......I thought I saw something about a "Josh" along my reading.

Thanks!!!

OK... this was added by same poster, later: confirmed they're an 'insider' again.

Re: Mgt's questions. Jason left home Thur. Pm to go to Va. I do not know the exact time he left but know it was in the evening. He had a meeting there Fri. AM. He checked into a hotel there and called Michelle at around 11 PM that night when he had arrived. He spoke to her and all was fine. He had his meeting Fri. Am and then as had been previously planned, drove to western NC to his mom's house where he'd planned to have a short visit and spend the night before returning to Raleigh the next day. People are very confused over the sequence there because the press has published so many different things. He went to VA, spent the night, had a meeting in the AM, then as planned drove to Brevard. It was while he was enroute to Brevard that his mother received the phone call about Michelle's death. Jason was told when he arrived at her home. The family elected not to give someone that kind of news while they were driving and alone.

If true, he may have driven back - having asserted his 'alibi'. This poster is very clear about the time of the Thursday evening telephone calls - but doesn't give us arrival at hotel or at business, or at Brevard.

This makes sense as to WHY LE were asking if *any vehicles were seen from midnight to 6 am*

Snapshot into my suspicious mind: he did have gambling problems; he was unfaithful; he set up an alibi, drove a little way there - checked in and snuk out - did what he did - went back to hotel and continued his journey.

Sorry.... My hinky meter has simply not left the Jason-Zone at this stage! :snooty:

1. No, we haven't been told any more about the fax yet.

2. One child, two year old Cassidy and one on the way (reportedly a boy).

The poster who mentioned Josh meant to say Jason. Confused this case with the Trenton Duckett case which is getting a lot of media attention today.

Suppose she was to hide the fax?

I also saw a josh - asked packer dog who Josh was a couple pages back, lol. Is that the dog?

I think maybe packer got names mixed up. Josh is Trenton Duckett's father. Or that's who I gathered it was. It was just a accident, IMO.

That "dumb" poster also said that Josh and Cassidy were staying with her parents right now.

This link appeared back on page 17 in the thread (I think)- anyway, it is a link to a "forum" about this case- in case any of you haven't read it allready, it is a mix of opinions. I found it interesting.

Thanks Bozy, I'm reading it now. And the more I read the more and more this reminds me of Laci. I just read a post in which the poster is statiing that Michelle's friends are standing behind him, sound familiar?? Oh Gosh, I hope he didn't kill her.

Tee hee, ISPTRAX, I think packer's going to throw the book at us and wish he/she never committed the cardinal sin of mixing up 2 cases (Trenton Duckett's father), lol. I also went "huh??" Sewingdeb and MrsM have kindly replied. :)
