And top 'o the mornin to YOU, close :blowkiss:

Amazing, eh? There's a mould for men that commit these tyoes of crimes. One we should *never* be familiar with - yet sadly, we see it mor and more these days.

Ag! ...despicable ...

I hope so too Sami. You did a briliant job in your work, and it is always fascinating to me how Websleuths has this way of pulling in such accomplished posters in so many different fields.

They have also pulled the videos of the funeral and the one of Michelle's mom making her appeal for Justice to find the killer. I suppose the next thing that will be pulled is the 911 tape.

Looks like someone big is pulling the shots if ABC pulls videos like that, unless they only leave them up for a short time. I don't really know. The important thing is that our group was very fortunate to hear what we did. It was like we were there in the room with Meredith and little Cassidy.

Mornin everyone! :)

Sami...! As they say in Hong Kong: O Tan Koo! Appreciated.

Look forward to continued gems in today's sleuthin.

BTW : This may not be news to you guys, but geez - it rained!

First time this year! About an hour - not major heavy rain ... (yay) ... great to see deep, dark, low cloud cover for a change, too. Going to plonk the roast-beef & veg chunks in a clay pot and just leave it (lazy, eh, LOLLL).

brb...

i'll have chili comin out of my ears for the next couple of days...i made a huge pot, lol.....someone mentioned something about a nice hot bowl & trying to solve a mystery...that will be on the menu for me this evening...i made the pot for my husband...he wanted some before he left to go back out of town...(which he did just a few minutes ago).......i feel like the character in that movie "you've got mail" where the girl RUNS to the computer, once her husband/bf leaves the house.....LOL

glad you got rain Polk...looks to be a beautiful day here with a high up around 69  ....not 'end of Nov' weather, but i'll take it....i myself, kinda like the cold...i work outside in the heat, so i always welcome cold weather.....

sorry...enough O/T

Yes, seems like we WERE right there, scandi.

Tapes pulled?! Wonder why... I recall the funeral tape very clearly; and Michelle's mom's message!

Could they have been taking pics of lic plates IN CASE someone managed to recall a couple of digits/letters?

A while back ----> I think we were told this is SOP at funerals (tho first I ever learnt as much).

Good Morning Ocean,

I thing it could be that in having this very articulate and smart little girlie be able to relate to LE what she saw could be the miracle in this case of Michelle speaking from the grave, just like Laci did when she washed ashore against all odds.

Lets hope and pray this is the case, and I do join you in saying prayers for Michelle's family. For Jasons too, as they are going to have super strength to go through this ordeal now whether they realize it or not.

Scandi

Morning Scandi,

Yes it sure put them on the right track but we know any big fancy wancy lawyer is going to contest any utterance said by such a small child. Even the Judge may find her too young to possibly understand what really happened.

Like in the CW case, Ava saw nothing yet she did tell that mommy had fallen down. Her statement was allowed into the trial through the policewoman who was an expert in questioning children and I have no doubt that Cassidy's will too but there must be more......and that is what I hope they have.......much more than the mark of his child as she points the finger at daddy but that ironclad link needed to tie him to this crime with or without Cassidy's words.

Wonder what in the heck is taken so long? I am beginning to believe he wasn't all that careful in planning these murders. Will Cassidy also say she heard them arguing? She may even know what they were auguring about if they were.

IMO

why on earth would they pull those tapes...the funeral was just a 10-15 second scene of JY & his entourage (sp?)...the other of Michelle's mama is like SO many others we've seen where mothers are 'calling out for help'....that makes no sense to pull those :waitasec:

Scandi,

You have to quit keeping me out so late...:D It's not much fun hacking a horse out when one is half asleep...they know it and take advantage. Yes a good cup of tea works well.

:truce:

Taking a formal bow, a curtsey, a tug of the ole forelock and an honorable smile: g'morning, charlie...

Hi ocean :).

The crime happened 3 half weeks ago... there MUST be something that requires lining up: I wonder if there's a behind-the-scenes lawyers vs LE session going on?

Could there be additional forensic analysis?

Outstanding testimony yet to be confirmed?

i think LE is through with Cassidy, as far as investigating......they heard what they heard from the 911 call & they may have asked her a few questions early on that day (Friday) but i kinda doubt it....JY whisked her away, but that's ok...her words are on that tape....& Meredith knows what she said, so there was enough fuel there to start a good investigation....Cassidy did her 'job' without even knowing it, & time WILL take care of any memories, along with some caring, loving, supportive family members raising her....i have no doubt of that.....course there will always be an 'empty' place in her, just knowing her mother was murdered, & she never got to really know her:(

Eyup ... If JY received news circa 2 - 3 pm - then gathered his parents (et al) and drove back to Raleigh ... that would mean he arrived back earliest late at night...

Wasn't the car and so forth taken on the Saturday? Gone blank, lol! If so, that means LE may have had ample time to talk to Cassie...

Here's a thought I had about the garage door/ladder scenario.

Maybe he switched the garage door over to manual to avoid waking anyone late at night when (ok, IF) he came back later at night to kill her.

We have to use a ladder to reach the chain on our garage door to switch it over to manual. Once it's on manual we raise it by hand, and can do it as quietly (I guess, never tried that but...) as needed to slip in unnoticed. I'm assuming there is a door in the garage to the house, of course.

This way he would have hidden his car from the public view and not alerted Michelle that he was home.

Was their driveway gravel? Would Michelle have heard tires crunching on that from her bedroom window? I lost the layout link so I can't remember where bedrooms were in relation to the garage and the front of the house. Is it a two-car garage?

What do you guys think?

What a smart cookie you are. My garages are the same, we need a ladder to unhook the chain thing. If I am sleeping I can hear the garage door open and closed. Do they have a double garage door and also a single?

i know the car was confiscated "over the weekend", but i haven't heard which day to be exact.....& yeah, you're right...LE may have had a 'professional' go in & 'play talk' with Cassidy...have her act out what, if anything, she saw.....i could be wrong, but those 'experts' could come into trial to testify....

this is really mean, but i can just picture JY telling that child over & over..."mommy fell & hit her head & went to heaven, sweetheart"....

Good Morning close, nice to see you!

Absolutely beautiful day today in my neck of the woods too! lol

Oh I agree they are through now but I do think they had a female police officer remove Cassidy from the scene at that time...between the scene and the hours later when Jason picked her up I am sure they talked with her further establishing what she knew.

It is sad but her age is on her side. If she had been older it would be even worse. Little children are resilient especially this age. It will be doubly tragic if she really adored her daddy and was a "daddy's girl". Some murderers can have no anger against some of their own children.

I believe the car was taken Friday night upon arrival- remember all the luggage and other stuff (medications) the Step Dad complained about ? If it was taken Saturday - it was taken upon arrival and that would mean they spent the night in Brevard. JMO

don't you just know it must have been EXTREMELY hard for Michelle's family to hand Cassidy over to JY that day.....:(

you're right...her age is on her side, thank goodness....

Well I see the CTV group is talking about what Cassidy said on the tape. I wonder if any insiders will comment?

Have they all left that site?

good point RC....if they left to head to Raleigh immediately upon hearing the news, then that means they would have gotten there sometime Friday night....if luggage & meds & all that was STILL in the vehicle, that means they didn't even have time to unload the stuff from the car.....even IF they showed up early Saturday morning, it would have been the same thing...they never got their stuff unloaded from the vehicle....

i had forgotten about that....wow, LE jumped right on it!

OMG! I dont know how they did it, I really dont. Maybe they too wanted to believe that little Cassidy someone got it mixed up. I am sure at that time they did not want to believe he could ever do something like this.

Maybe they know Jason's mom and dad and think they are good people.
