Oh Sami, you poor dear! No FOX for you and you are such a good girl! Baa Haa Haa Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa And you are good, believe me. :) That's awful. I would think technology would have taken care of that by now. If they can beam up rays to the space statioin, hey, why can't they send some down to Aussieland so our Websleuthers there can watch Cable News!

Scandi
We can get it but.............we have to pay totally stupid amounts of money to get cable :-( Something over $80 per month.

Please tell me listening post's latest post is .... well ... is pretty much far fetched. For TOS precautionary measures I've not brought the post over here - but basically what I got out of this is that Jason Y is well connected and Michelle Y is a "yankee" and that the resent continues back to the civil war.

PUH-LEEZE .... someone tell me Darth Vader has a more likely chance of landing in my study than this story has of being remotely true. I, for one, do not and cannot allow myself to believe there still exists some lone 'hillbilly-gun-toting-patriots' ready to mow down the lineage some 10 generations-later of civil war days.

Lord: I'm from other side of the world and ... that kind of post alarms me because of all the things USA may or may not be involved in - I never for a moment thought this way; I've taken the USA people as a combined force in a global superpower - sure some are disgruntled at various political stages, but on the whole - this is a country that does not "snuff out lineage".

I cannot even post a response to that ludicrous statement, for fear of being banned. If I was the mod over there, I'd eliminate such prehistoric thinking so that the global audience does not sway in their boots, like I did.

PUH-LEEZE tell me listening post's comments were for nothing else that to TROLL for trouble. Agh ... why do I even bother? But really - that is a stupid remark to claim, IMO - always IMO - of course...

Lawdie-Bee! [ETA: Ooops, the post in question is over at CTV on the main MY thread...]
I'm also a member over there and I tell ya from half the stuff I read I ain't going to bother posting. At least here people put more sensible posts in and throw ideas around without getting sidetracked with that kind of stuff!

Some of the things said over there in relation to this case are just plain absurd.

It is a very common name in NC. Almost as common as John Smith.
Argh! Same here...we have over 500,000 John Smiths in Australia.

Parents need to get savvy with names they call their kids! lol

Hello everybody! Enjoyed the banter in this thread - the love of dogs, living plants, horses and <<<chuckle, chuckle>>>, charlie's barn duty! Breath of fresh air. I'm like you j2mirish: I love horses - except I've never been around them long enough to stay on a saddle, lol.

Scands, thanks for emailing Kimberley... we also don't get Fox: however if we subscribe to another cable distributor, I believe we'll get it - but like much over here, we get the international versions. I want to see what Grays Anatomy is all about!

SewingDeb .. Hi again, hope you had a good Sunday: yep - Jason Young is a popular name.

strach thanks for advising "that post" is trying to explain itself. Let's hope it drops along with the thread and doesn't open an added injury to the already sombre wound that exists. Maybe some people say something without realizing or estimating the depth and reach of their words.

I agree with charlie about the sheriff and this "by the book" investigation, and have felt this way from the beginning. There was, IMO, a solid confidence in the Sheriiff's style from the get-go. NO WAYS was he going to succumb to public or media pressure - it's the least of his concerns. I think he has an exceptionally solid foundation and ... the Jasonites are worried. Very worried. As Jason has to be. Otherwise why hire earth moving equipment to get rid of a mole-hill?

And so ..... we enter another week .... and I'm out and about soooo much, that my calling by will be probably reduce somewhat.

Finally, hope close is OK ... first time ever she's not called in with her effervescence!

Goig to read the rest here - and charlie's new thread about a DA. Mmmm!

Hey, Sami .... Yep: by a minority, IMO. I've read some good names that have been around for a long while and respect their voice. Only once have I gone "WOW" ... and that was a week or so ago when everyone seemed to play follow my leader with a poster claiming to have 'all the facts' when the posters nick should have been:

MyUnsubstantiatedViews

LOL!

Lol, yep I followed that one with great interest and a tons of giggles. I was wondering at that time if people over there realised how easy it is for someone to say "hey I knew blah blah and he and she were blah blah". it is far easier to do that then say "oh yeah I'm one of his friends and I think he's guilty as hell." Basically what I"m saying is that from here in Australia I could very easily go in with a heap of 'facts' about how loving they were and nothing was wrong and so on and even point the finger at a probably helpless kid while I'm at it.

So maybe that person should've been "I'mGonnaStickMyNoseInMakeHimSoundLikeAnAngelAndStirThePotUp"

Make NO ERROR ... from those posts and the 'publicity' around them, I am convinced JY and clan are reading here .... there .... everywhere ...! Outside of his guilt/innocence - I feel this guy is heartless and selfish. He did enough in the first few days (through to the funeral) for me to go "you're cold, baby ... and unfeeling".

To ignite his SIL's interest and shared excitement to 'get involved' with a surprise gift for her sister is a wonderful, warm, family-bonding gesture.

Then, she makes the horrific discovery that Michelle is DEAD - brutally murdered at that.

Ignore the fact I happen to think JY is involved, for my point here, let's say he's not:

He suddenly clams up, avoids them, doesn't fall into Meredith's arms and go "OMG... I never knew ... OMG...". There's no remote sign of that earlier excited, caring bonding. IMO??? FAKE!

He distances himself from the Fishers and although one poster over at CTV is in total denial about the 2 families not speaking - fact is - they're NOT. NOT in the way we mean. One poster wrote "he plum fell to his knees".

Well, he "plum" ran through the trees, over dale and as far away as possible. To arrive the NEXT DAY with his "entourage" of family and the fist thing they say is "we're lawyering up - we don't trust LE". Well? They HADN'T EVEN talked to LE - so why second-guess?

That's thoughtless, heartless, cold and very selfish.

Silence may be Golden, Jason Boy... but while you're shutting up the realization of your basic characteristics is becoming as valuable as gold to the Fishers. They are beginning to know the real you. Did Michelle know this side of you, too - but kept quiet for the love of family and her babies???(OUTSIDE of murder, I'm talking .... that's a separate issue.)

The above is my passionate opinion! [ETA: does consciousness of guilt apply here? Maybe I'm too mad at this 'boy' for his coldness to let up some reasonable slack...]

IMO the poster is as ignorant as the concept described within the post.

I thought however I would post this article as IMO this is in reality the reason behind all the silence and so called "fear"

I saw that as he was on misfits trying to justify the comment. IMO there is a time and a place to discuss such things but for me this comment was over the top considering the forum subject it was posted on. Enough so for me to activate the ignore button.

NO??!! OK .... now I don't believe this guy! He's clearly out to CREATE. Bored with lack of info and blame .... needs attention .. Y'know ... one of those people that can't live w/out drama. The office gossip at the watercoolers, I suspect. Always telling on the next person and quietly wringing his hands in glee. He posted back again about the hillbilly/yankee stuff - so he's clearly in this for sensationalism and not concern.

IMO: those types posts deserve least oxygen.

(ps: only saying HE .... ummmm ... cos He sounds like a HE to MEEE!).

All my own opinion, of course! :D

Hi guys! I love the horse talk! I think they are the most beautiful animals created. My youngest goes to hippotherapy which she loves. I go with her but I sneeze the whole time. :(

More pondering here...

If Jason had many friends nearby I wonder why he chose Meredith to pick up the fax.

If there were a key hidden on the property, or there was a garage door keypad code, he could have called a friend of HIS to go get the fax (he's assuming Michelle and Cassidy aren't home, right?).

Perhaps it's as simple as she might have had a key to the home, or that she was the only family member nearby (30 minutes!), or perhaps her work schedule was more flexible than one of JY's friends....

Why poor Meredith?

(My mind goes to sinister reasons behind that decision, of course.)

Interesting also that someone noticed the garage door being opened manually on Kim's show this weekend. :raisingeyebrows:

RaisinCharlie,

Loved the horse story. I don't have arenas and big barn, but we have to help 20 horses survive winter. BarnGod made me go out and open the main pasture gate so he could pull the two big bales out to the pasture in the feeders. He dinked around while I froze my rear trying to convince these big draft horses they needed to wait until he came through. Sunday I looked out the kitchen window and saw our five calves rollicking through the north "junk" area. Then glanced over and saw the barn door leading from their pen open a bit. We put two horses in with them and not only was the barn door open, so was the gate at the other end. He went out in his long johns and found the champion gate opener in the grain room. Of course the barn was a mess. After calling the vet, we put the two horses in a separate pen and cut them off from water until this morning. You are right about colic, we lost our Suffolk stallion in August from colic.

We are pretty careful during the winter, but these horses are used to the climate changes and have already grown their winter coats. They have windbreaks and when they predict snow, we bring them all into the pens up against the barn. We can get 10 into temporary stalls in the barn.

Keep warm there Charlie.

Thanks Scout for the link. Drats! This clip from your link though is very telling I think:

" . . .One part of the investigation that remains the same is Harrison's belief in who may have done it.

Harrison said he still feels that it was not a random crime.

Harrison says Young's husband has been less than cooperative in the case, a case that doesn't appear to have any quick resolution."

Interesting that as of today, the Sheriff says the husband has been "less than cooperative" and...his opinion that it wasn't a random crime hasn't changed.

I had almost hoped that JY had been more cooperative and had met with the investigators more than we were hearing (leaks)...but it doesn't sound like that is the case. NOT looking good for JY.

Lawyer up, yeah that's okay with me. But still meet with investigators to assist them...if you're not guilty, IMO... :banghead:

Reminds me of the Ramseys. (oops, sorry) JMHO

Eventhough he's lawyered up, can't LE call him in for questioning? If he says 'no,' it's 'no' and he would be UNCOOPERATIVE.

I'd like to know if they've asked him to come in and he said 'no.'

IMHO, that would definitely be bad news for Jason, in the eyes of LE and the public.

:twocents: I agree Deputy Lawyer up yes, then take your Lawyer with you when your interviewed. It's possible his Lawyer told him not to talk but if his Lawyer went with him he could advise him on the spot if he shouldn't answer a specific question.

Oh dear....I didn't like the part about there being 3 other homicides this year not being solved.

I don't put much weight on his statement about the crime lab back log. Just like the Peterson case when they were doing DNA testing on Laci and Conner, LE said it would take a couple of weeks when it only took a couple of days. I'm sure these cases get priority.

Thanks for this info Scout.

The only reason I can think of that he wouldn't go into headquarters accompanied by his attorney to answer questions, would be that some of his 'alibi' story isn't true, he knows LE knows it, and he's afraid they are going to ask about it, and of course he could refuse to answer.

Because, IMHO, IF there is nothing to hide, there's absolutely NO REASON for him not to talk to LE, lawyer or not. After all, his wife was MURDERED! Doesn't he want to help LE catch the killer?

The answer SHOULD BE YES!

But, it seems as if it's NO.

That's my opinion,
fran

PS....I still compare his wearing sunglasses at his wife's funeral while he walked passed the cameras to SP wearing a baseball cap and staying out of the media, ............until Amber stepped forward and the cat was out of the bag.........fran
