Oh dear....I didn't like the part about there being 3 other homicides this year not being solved.

I don't put much weight on his statement about the crime lab back log. Just like the Peterson case when they were doing DNA testing on Laci and Conner, LE said it would take a couple of weeks when it only took a couple of days. I'm sure these cases get priority.

Thanks for this info Scout.
Hi Jilly - the part about three other homicides not being solved has me wondering. Now remember, I live here in Wake County. The article says no arrests have been made in the other three homicides commited this year. Now I know for a fact more than 4 people have been murdered in Wake County this year and I know for a fact that in Cynthia Mooreland's case there has been an arrest. Her body was found in another county but the guy arrested (last name was Chance) was arrested in Wake County. Sooo...this article is a bit misleading in that area. IMO, JMO I think possibly whoever worte this article did not proof read before publishing or I'm losing my mind. Maybe what he/she meant was that of all the murders in Wake County, there are a total of four unsloved including 3 other besides Michelle??? I'll try and go back through old online news and online newspaper articles to see what I can find....

I remember reading that Michele was the 21st victim of homicide and 4 were unsolved which I took to mean including Michele.

For the sherrif to publicly state Jason is being less than cooperative is very troubling to me. This sherrif has remained quiet so that tells me he has tried to get an interview or info at the least. I'm sure this has been known by Michele's family and friends for awhile.

The only reason I can think of that he wouldn't go into headquarters accompanied by his attorney to answer questions, would be that some of his 'alibi' story isn't true, he knows LE knows it, and he's afraid they are going to ask about it, and of course he could refuse to answer.

Because, IMHO, IF there is nothing to hide, there's absolutely NO REASON for him not to talk to LE, lawyer or not. After all, his wife was MURDERED! Doesn't he want to help LE catch the killer?

The answer SHOULD BE YES!

But, it seems as if it's NO.

That's my opinion,
fran

PS....I still compare his wearing sunglasses at his wife's funeral while he walked passed the cameras to SP wearing a baseball cap and staying out of the media, ............until Amber stepped forward and the cat was out of the bag.........fran

I wonder if there is a bag with a cat in it .....about to come out for Jason too.

The other thing I just now thought of is maybe what was reported was meant to read Michelle's case was the 4 that the COUNTY has been in charge of. In other words it happened outside the city limits so the Raleigh Police Department would not be in charge. Now that is a very good possibility.....

It troubles me too. If JY did do this, they're losing a big portion of the circumstantial puzzle without his cooperation. This could take a very long time. I feel so sorry for Michelle's mother and sister. They must be a wreck.

That sounds logical. Geez Louise - you'd think these reporters would get a bit more detail for us! hehe! I mean we're getting one or two lines a week so let's get it right here!

Sure fits with what we heard days ago as the reason friends of Jason's stopped posting. Even if the rumor about Michele's family being at odds with jason wasn't true I don't see how it couldn't be now. If the sheriff said this publicly you know he's told Michele's family.

i figured the stuff at the lab might be holding things up:(....ugh, but i can understand, from what the article states....so NOW when someone asks "where is written that JY isn't being cooperative?" it's in writing from the Sheriff's mouth .....
There's one problem with it - it is actually in the reporters words not the sheriff's words. You read that article again there are no quotes directly from the sheriff about the level or lack of cooperation. It is the reporter writing the article that says the sheriff said it no direct "quote"....... "unquote".

One would hope the reporter is being truthful but somedays I'm not sure the press remember how to tie their shoes. JMO.

yes one would hope.....but these two sentences are good enough for me..lol

Harrison said he still feels that it was not a random crime.

Harrison says Young's husband has been less than cooperative in the case, a case that doesn't appear to have any quick resolution.

It is nothing that couldn't be figured out, or has been figured out by forum members, from other articles so I would agree - the sentences are important and most likely true but this is sloppy journalism regardless. I am pointing out however the counter argument - and there will be arguments over what the sheriff has said and not said.

One thing that has always struck me, and told me more, even more than the above, is the incredible similarities between Lynn Fisher's statement and emphasis on certain words and Sharon Rocha's statement (after Amber Frey came to light) and emphasis. Seems to me Ms. Fisher had a very good idea at the time of the funeral who the guilty party is. JMO

That's one thing that has bugged me too.....and if I was her mom I'd be fuming at the lack of support shown from this **insert any expletives you can think of**.....especially if he was innocent.

Interesting that as of today, the Sheriff says the husband has been "less than cooperative" and...his opinion that it wasn't a random crime hasn't changed.

I had almost hoped that JY had been more cooperative and had met with the investigators more than we were hearing (leaks)...but it doesn't sound like that is the case. NOT looking good for JY.

Lawyer up, yeah that's okay with me. But still meet with investigators to assist them...if you're not guilty, IMO... :banghead:

Reminds me of the Ramseys. (oops, sorry) JMHO

Hi DeputyDawg! :) Nice to see you in here... :)

Although getting a lawyer would NOT be my first priority, Gerald McIntyre seemed determined to build a wall around JY. We have to ask why? Is it remotely possible JY fessed up or indicated something ominous to his family? We've never really heard "innocent" emphasized, repeated or claimed. Not even in the media or from LE. All we've heard, (much earlier), through rumoured "insiders" are the following statement:

LE are putting a twist on things...
Media 'frenzy' (that's a joke if ever there was one... media are SILENT and barricaded out).
Jason would never do this...
He was not there...
Anyone would lawyer up ...
They were very happy, very much in love...
Hi called home at 11 pm ...
He did not have gambling debts ...

IMO ... all we've heard are reasons, excuses, action-justifications (my term, lol) and so on. Irrespective of the truth, we haven't seen the usual "He's INNOCENT.."

Too many are too quiet. That's ok for the publie. But LE do not need this silence. I feel it's conterproductive and I feel JY has something to hide.

As always, the above is my humble opinion.

Almost unanimous: Not looking good for JY...

Thank-you, Scout! Scandi's points ring loud this side of the world, especially the portion that Sheriff says JY remains uncooperative. WHY??? Lordie-be ... after a month, there has to be A LOT MORE to protect that just your basic rights. I mean how long does JY plan to stay holed-up?

Other things are at stake here: his general family committments for starters. Also, what about his job?

I don't believe this Sheriff will ever say exactly who he feels may be responsible until there's an arrest. He plays (and reads) each card with a clear strategy in mind.

Puzzling - LE still has Jy's SUV sitting in the impound lot. I was thankful that Amanda Lamb cleared this up for us and verified it's location just a few days ago.

So, I'm thinking something was found in that vehicle otherwise LE would have no legal right to keep it. If JY's lawyer has filed a motion for its return we do not know - what we do know is if he did, it was denied as LE still has the vehicle. Today we get a bit of news that the Crime Lab is backed up and it may be a while before forensics are back.

So now I'm stuck thinking something was found in that vehicle that requires testing and since the lab is backed up it may be a while before whatever it is, is known. All this time I've been telling myself they found something and it implicates the owner of the vehicle as LE will not give it back. Only to realize the reason LE still has the vehicle is most likely related to a back up in the lab. Bummer !

Quote from news report...

One part of the investigation that remains the same is Harrison's belief in who may have done it.

Harrison said he still feels that it was not a random crime.

Harrison says Young's husband has been less than cooperative in the case, a case that doesn't appear to have any quick resolution.

Thank you Donnie!
