Micki was last seen leaving St. Joseph State Hospital in St. Joseph, Missouri on September 11, 1979. She worked as a nurses aide there. She never made it to her bus stop and has never been heard from again.
Marvin Lee Irvin, a former police officer, allegedly threatened Micki before she disappeared. In 1991, he confessed to her murder. He said he buried her body in a cornfield in Highland, Kansas. He also confessed to killing two other women in 1990 and burying them in the same field. A search turned up the bodies of his other victims, but not Micki. Her case remains unsolved.
