Miley Cyrus Embarrassed by Vanity Fair Photo Shoot - Racy Photos

No one had sex with her and this isn't pornographic material.

That's your perception.

IMO it borders on child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬.

Who is talking about sex with her????? :banghead:

When I'm discussing her age, I'm talking about the decision to pose for these pics as NOT being her decision to make. She is 15. She is not a legal adult and the decision to pose for these pictures should not have been left in her hands. Her parents, her manager, the Disney people, the photographer - WHOEVER it was that was with her and in charge of her should have stepped in and said big NO!

My perception in this case is fact. This isn't child 🤬🤬🤬🤬.

Do we know for sure the Disney people were even there?

I watched the Country Music awards 2 wks ago. Miley & Billy Ray did there song together. She had a dress on that was totally inappropriate for a girl her age. I was embarassed for her. I wondered what in the world is her folks thinking letting her dress like that? Then thought she is the star & she should have a standard set.....

I thought the pictures were as ridiculous as her dress. I am far from a prude, I have Granddaughters 21,20 & 18 yrs of age.

Okay Paladin, I'm going to take your word for it. I've never seen child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 and I hope to God that nothing even remotely close to it enters my sheltered life at all.

IMO, any photograph that sexualizes (is that a word?) a child no matter what their age, should be viewed as inappropriate and wrong. These photos of Miley are just that. They take a child and portray her as a sexual object. End of story.

I have no clue if the Disney people were with her or not. I'm positive someone in authority was there and they should have stepped in. Better yet, Billy Ray never should have stepped out while the camera was still going.

Maybe I'm the only one but I think the photos are beautiful and tastefully done.
yeah, I know she's only 15 and no, I wouldn't let my daughter have photos taken like that at 15 but I still think they are art....to be used at home not released to the public but art, none the less. I certainly see the beauty.

Of course, I have a more European mindset when it comes to the body...so my opinion may be biased because of that....
I agree, Ember. Seeing a person's back, even a 15-year-old, is no reason for outrage.

As far as pedophiles, a young person can be wearing jeans and a T-shirt and they will still be a pedophile, still look, etc.

No, it's not 🤬🤬🤬🤬. If it is, I have several teenage 🤬🤬🤬🤬 stars in my neighborhood here in Florida, as they walk around in bathing suits!!!

Okay, then let's eliminate about 90% of the commercials on TV. Get rid of those children's beauty pageants, too. Get rid of MTV, get rid of Seventeen magazine and every other teen magazine, and so on because by your definition we're sexualizing pretty much everything under the sun concerning America's youth.

Can we? LOL

Seriously though, I have great fear for a society that thinks it's ok to ask a child to pose naked, only half in a sheet with hair and make-up like she just had a wild romp. That's the staging and situation the adults choose to put her in, and it's not right. If we don't stand up and say we won't accept this, then it continues and the boundaries will continue to be stretched until there is none. We're almost there.

It's not that it's seeing her back alone, it is the illusion that she is naked, or at the every least topless under the sheet, along with her tossled dyed hair and red pouty lips and dark eye make-up that is the problem. She does just look like she had a romp in bed.:sick::sick: Also there are the inappropriate poses in her father's lap that are equally or more troublesome!!!

Sounds like a good idea to me. LOL. I know it's not possible to get rid of it. Unfortunately it's what our society likes. But as a mother of a child who loves Hannah Montana, I can voice my opinion over this incident with Miley.

Oh and don't get me started on child beauty pageants and some of the commericals on TV. That's a rant for another thread. :)

I would love it if we got rid of MTV (minus Rob & Big, which I love). It's nothing but filth and I won't let my kids watch it as long as they live under my roof. If what we see on MTV is what kids are becoming these days, I may as well just crawl into a hole.

It's a little too loving(incestuous) and intimate when she is sprawled across his lap and his arm is around her. I've seen two different shots and in both she looks like she is ready for sex. Besides how her legs are spread, it's the tossled hair, the red lips, the pout, and the "come hither" look.

Well, I didn't see the photo's of her with her dad until last night after I quit posting here.

I have to agree with you Linask...I felt so uncomfortable looking at those pictures of her with her dad.
I loved my dad dearly, but I think I would have been so embarrassed as a young girl with posing like that with him! YUCK!

I can just picture some pervert looking at those and saying "See everybody loves their daddy like that" Those photo's with her and her dad enraged me more than the one of her with the sheet!

Can BRC really be that ignorant of how it appears???

LOL, actually, now that I think about it, getting rid of MTV would be awesome.

I agree 100%. Whether or not it's appropriate - we can debate all day - but it ain't kiddie 🤬🤬🤬🤬 or even close to it. I actually think it's a beautiful picture.

I think far too much is being made of this.

Maybe all this will give Billy Ray and his wife a wakeup call. Personally I think BR has been basking too much in the sunlight of his daughter's success.

This is what makes the perceptions of the pictures being bad. I took a pic of my 7 year old granddaughter leaned back across her grandpa. If someone were to say to me that it looked pornograghic I'd have to smack 'em dead in the face! My ganddaughter loves Miley/Hannah Montana. She doesn't see VF magazine. But, even if she did, in her childish innocence (which so many people have lost in this day and age in their quest for someone to lynch) she would just say, "Look how pretty she is Grandma." She has a HM nightgown and a HM poster in her room. She watches HM every day and will continue to do so until she tires of it. Not because others think she's a nasty little twit now. Shame on people who have to make everything ugly.

If a picture taken in the Cyruses back yard during a picnic showed Miley leaned back against her father, same clothes, same pose, it would be put in the family album and brought out later and people would gush over it. Put a professional behind the camera and it becomes "innapropriate" or "pornographic." Nasty minds.

Amen, BeeBee...I couldn't have said it better.
