Thanks for your impressions. I am happy Jared is featured prominently. That he managed to conquer his awful experience without bitterness is wonderful and shows enormous strength of character. I did not think there could be much new ground to cover, other than maybe a few family home movies or anecdotes that may not have been seen before. After all, this case was more widely covered than just about any child abduction in American history. I hope the Wetterlings have now found some semblance of peace. They deserve it after all the years of torment.Yes, I watched it last Sunday. My main takeaway from it was that Jared and his story was prominently featured throughout the film.
I thought the film was well done and authentic, but it didn’t break any new ground compared to previous coverage of the case. I was thinking about whether or not it would be fitting for a multi-episode limited series, but I’m not sure there are many great dramatic moments from which to tease new episodes.
