Just this morning I was reading a column in the Advocate (the national gay political mag, for those who don't know) by a gay writer whose mother came out as a lesbian in her 80s. (He reports she's now more "gay" than he is: more politically active, more devoted to staying current in the culture.)

So there's time...

Seems she wasn't following through on her duties and had a serious attitude problem. She got a HUGE break from Trump... he stood up for her and I guess she decided to take advantage of it.

Now that Prejean is gone, Shanna Moakler wants back on the board. I hope Trump shoots her request down... Shanna needs to focus on her family, given that her and Barker are at odds again over the same old issue that busted them up: Shanna putting partying and shmoozing above being a mother to her kids.

If I were petty, I'd point out the irony that Ms. Prejean, who has such strong opinions about who should be allowed to form one kind of contract, was fired for breaching another kind.

Fortunately, I'm too classy for that.

So I'll just say that I've been a Californian for a quarter-century and Prejean is the only "Miss California" of any kind whom I can name. In a culture, where fame is legal tender, I think she made out pretty well.

If she got too full of herself and breached her contractual obligations, then she's an even bigger idiot than I thought her to be after watching Fox n Friends.

She had plenty of enemies and she was stupid not to watch her every p and q. Guess Trump gave her a false sense of security.

She didn't break her contract, she showed up for ONE speaking engagement - OUTRAGE!

I was pulled up short at Ziggy's comment that Prejean has "enemies." Such a strong word! It's clear from Ziggy's context what she meant and I'm not criticizing Ziggy.

But I hope nobody really thinks a beauty pageant contestant who goes around saying dumb things on talk shows is important enough to be anyone's "enemy."
