I didn't find it particularly offensive, but Prejean's answer to Hilton was "pretty good" only if you give her points for trying to appeal (and appease) all sides of the issue. It's "great" that Americans can choose, but only one choice is correct? Hmmm...

More importantly, the fact is, in most parts of "this land," one canNOT choose gay marriage. Perhaps Prejean was confused because her home state offered such a choice at the time.

With this caveat, however, I agree: great post, Mr. Happy!

Yeah, her answer was a little convoluted. She was probably very nervous. I felt Carrie was basically saying that she doesn't agree with same-sex marriage, but to each their own. Of course, her actions after the pageant tell a different story.

I adore my sister, but I can't imagine watching a sex tape with her in it. (Not that such a tape exists.)

And, in any event, I'd only see a few seconds before she killed me!

Yeah, "they" got to her alright. Now that her 15 minutes are almost over, maybe she can find work as Sarah Palin's nanny.

Frankly, if Prejean had actually managed to say "I don't believe in gay marriage, but it should be available to those who believe otherwise," I'd have been her biggest supporter.

Personally, I don't believe God ordains that the husband is the head of the household, but I don't oppose civil marriage rights for those who do. I could go on and on...
