Missing 12-year-old girl found at traffic stop and "let go" - Columbus, 8/1/2025

Is there anyone from the area who knows more? She's 12, Caucasian, and her name is pronounced "Chloe." Further details were fuzzied out, but she was pulled over with two adults from a traffic stop; the man was taken into custody and the woman let go, as was this girl who was reported missing more than 2 weeks ago, and in addition was zonked on fentanyl!

I think there's a LOT more to this story. Twelve-year-olds don't run away, or use hard drugs, unless something is really, really wrong.

If you read this article, it's worded a bit better. The mother contends her daughter was "this close to "fenetyl overdose" and "sex trafficking" but in actuality there is no mention of evidence she was on drugs when the traffic stop occurred. I think the mother was referring to what COULD have happened to this little girl had she not been located (a valid concern to any mother).

It also indicates the girl WAS located again within a short period of time, but NOT when law enforcement had an opportunity to bring closure to the case at the traffic stop. Although the girl gave them the wrong age and name, it states that was cleared up before she was released with this woman so why not check??

Was the woman she was released with a family friend, relative, stranger? A lot could have happened to her, that is true. Glad she safe now.
