It is a beautiful area. They're looking for the body somewhere near N. Bryan Road, which is closer to the Half Moon area out towards Richlands, if anyone is familiar with the area. I'm not exactly sure what neighborhood that is, but I'm thinking it must be out near Lauredale.

This is so sad, Maria must have been so scared living in these conditions.
She was only 18, just a baby herself. It sounds like she did not get allot of
support from her family. And I am sure that as a naive 18yr old in a mans
world allot of what she said was ignored. It does not seem like she had anyone to turn to for support and when you add the fact that she was pregant to this I am sure she must have felt overwhelmed and scared. I could not see my daughter at 18 leaving home and joining the military. It
does not sound like she was emotionally mature enough to join the Marines.
I wonder if she joined to escape family pressures. So very sad.

Not that it matters but she was twenty yrs. old not eighteen. I heard Fox news is supposed to be putting up a picture shortly.

Thank you, Jadenn. I wasn't sure I heard the sheriff right when he said the name of that street.

Can you describe that area? Is it desolate? City? Suburban with homes on it, or businesses?

TIA.

Yeah, please, about his picture. They've known about him re: the missing case for at least 3 weeks and they don't have a picture handy?

Give me a break, the marines have it.....:bang:
And how long did they know about this guy...
Plus they can get it from the DMV.
Really, we have a suspected murderer on the run. Why isn't a photo of this guy up yet?? Could it be because they haven't found the body? We don't even know if there is a body yet.

Wouldn't it be something if this were an elaborate plan for both of these individuals to escape the military life? I may be naive, but I still hope that the girl is alive. What could the sheriff possibly have that would say for sure that this girl is dead?

How far away is this area from the base?

Might be a stupid question here so excuse me if it is. Will they be able to get the DNA from the baby to prove her story true?

  • #227
Ya, just added that to my post.
DMV has a copy of it.
What would it take but a few minutes to get
and help find this guy...
Give me a break.:boohoo:

My thoughts exactly ! In this day and age, there is no excuse not to have a photo by now to get people to be on the lookout of him. Look how fast Georgia LE got photos of Hilton after Meredith's disappearance, and Hilton was a homeless drifter ! How can the USMC not cooperate in getting Loren's photo out ????? I am sooo frickin' angry right now !!!!!:furious:

Honey, you're looking a little bit green to me...why don't you take the rest of the day off since it's Friday anyway?Maybe take a slow drive past the crime scene with a camera handy...have a nice cup of tea while you fill us in?Susan

If anyone is good with maps, I am not could someone make one and post a link, Please.

I would like to know who led them to the body. Who would know something like that other than the killer or an accomplice? I have not heard any mention of an accomplice at all, not that that means anything coming from these bozos.Susan
I am wondering if Cesar had a roommate that discovered some incriminating evidence and then turned him in.

Indy, no question is ever stupid around here! If the baby is with her, they will be able to get its DNA.

I believe so. Laci Peterson's baby, Conner, washed ashore several months after his mother was murdered. DNA tests proved that he was Scott's child.

I was reading on another board and it was reported that the info came from a female that Lauren confess to. No link available.

They have not found her according to the sheriff. They were told of a location by someone (person from CA?) and given some kind of evidence that leads LE to believe she is buried in a shallow grave by Gum Branch Rd.

Indy, the press conference was ridiculous. As far as I'm concerned this whole investigation is f'd up as the Sheriff seems to bend with the wind from wherever it is blowing. He was ready to tell us there was going to be a favorable outcome to this situation a/o last night. Now today he supposedly knows otherwise.

Like SeekingJana has said, EVERYONE has failed this poor woman.

The NCIS investigator called the informant who turned over physical evidence a " she". The stupid sheriff didn't.
He did answer press to the affirmative that the informant is a " she" after the NCIS guy said it. ( Sorry, I don't know how to spell the NCIS investigator's name).

Sheriff seems to be very reluctant to challenge the suspect's lawyers at all. Is he just very easily intimidated or what? Doesn't he know they are full of hot air?I'm thinking the lawyers have something to do with keeping his pic out of the news. I hate it when LE gives in to lawyer threats. Defense lawyers have a field day with gullible people. Sorry, but this sheriff is just too easily played for a fool.Susan

Ah, interesting, lkd-ga. That would explain the sheriff yelling at a reporter that called the person that gave them info "he" not "she". He said "YOU said he, I never said he OR she". lol

We have an extreme problem of cannibalism in the USA?

There is a transcript of a FOX interview with Michael Baden in which he says there is.
However, I just got the nerve to watch the video of what was actually said and how it was said on FOX news, and I swear, they are JOKING about the man in Texas who ate part of his ( beautiful) dead girlfriend's body.

I am totally disgusted by Michael Baden and the Fox news team for joking about something so horrifying.

I usually don't drink but I am signing off now and heading to the nearest Chili's for a couple ( or more) of shakers of their El Presidente' margaritas.
I can't bear the murder of more beautiful young women and the fact that people are making jokes or, in the case of Maria, brushing aside alarming facts about her disappearance.

When is it going to occur to LE that 8 mth pregnant women do not just pack up and leave???? :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
