How do you see any resemblance? Different hair coloring and Christina looks on the heavy side. Maria was a blonde and thinner. Also, Christina has bushier eyebrows than Maria. IMO

That picture doesnt look quite right. It shows the top of her hair a very dark brown but yet there is long blonde hair coming down the side across his shoulder. Could that just be one long blonde streak and the rest brown you think?

I have missed a bunch of reading, but all in all pretty much UP on the BIG PICTURE.

I do think that IF IF anyone is tracking Christina closely with the HOPE of her leading LE to CPL , it will be Sheriff Brown and his men. We certainly can note that the military is not keeping America informed on the major disgrace. Isn't the motto of the Marines, "Be Prepared"? Help me out on that.

I tried to post this in the wee hours but 'server busy'. So here is my thinking around 3 AM today.

"HOW in the name of heaven IF IF Mrs. saw ALL OF THE blood on ceiling etc., could she ever BELIEVE Maria slit her own throat. Dr. Baden said it would be impossible on autopsy to determine whether she slit her own throat, or that anyone else did for that matter.

I do believe that Cpl headed directly for a very close friend or relative. I also thought the reward offered is way to low to get action from his friends. What friend would turn him in for the reward ?, when the possibility exists that they would be charged with harboring a murder suspect?

I would suspect any friend of his that KNOWS where he is would be mentally unknowing about what involvement LEGALLY that they would have in just telling where he is.

Killing someone else then trying to cover up his involvement indicates to me that Cpl will be found alive, he is probably too chicken to take his own life.

The entire matter has been treated with carelessness by the Military base hierarchy from the very beginning."

The reward is small in the US, but it's HUGE in MEXICO or to an immigrant. I think they know (or strongly suspect) is in either in Mexico or hiding out in the closed illegal immigrant community in the SW and TX - and the reward is geared toward that scenario - thus the emphasis on "Earthwide" in the reward announcement - to make it clear it's payable to anyone ANYWHERE, not just US citizens or those living in the US.

And one of the billboards is going IN Las Vegas, where 's family lives. If anyone there knows his family or friends here or in Mexico the people in Las Vegas will get the information to them about the reward - they are trying to spread the word thru "back channels" all the way into Mexico and thru the immigrant community in the US. I think is hiding out in the Hispanic community OR in Mexico - protection and silence is a way of life for many of those communities here AND for small towns in Mexico. LE is NOT to be trusted in EITHER place.

His parents Salvador Sanchez-Laurean and Elvira Ramirez de Laurean are both Mexican immigrants as well who purchased a home in Las Vegas in 2002 and then sold the home in 2006.

The bottom of Christinas Hair looks to be blonde, so she's died her hair before and she might have again. Do you know what color Christina's hair is right now? I don't see that much of a difference weight wise. How long ago was that pic taken? Remember, we have not see a pic of a pregnant Maria, she probaby gained weight. Look at the similar tilt of the heads in the pics. When I was doing a pic comparison I'm thinking about what the clerk at the bus station might have been seeing. In other words, it's not like Christina is a 300 pound black woman that could be ruled as purchasing the bus ticket...JMO.

I think a number of posters here may be misconstruing (or misunderstanding) the quote attributed to Christina's father, Bruce Shifflet.


The quote:

I do not think that Christina's father, meant that "he" (Shifflet) spoke with Christina before Cesar fled. Read the quote again.

The way I am reading this quote - he was saying that Christina spoke with "him" (her husband) before he fled. Big difference.

Tigger: In rereading Bruce's quote that you posted, I can see now that more than likely and your probably right, that he was saying that Christina spoke to Cesar before he fled.

I'm sure that Cesar would not have told his father in law what happened and asked for his advice. However, I do think Christina did and because of that discussion, she turned over the note, etc.

We know that Maria was dead sometime on the 15th. had her ID and her DL and obviously her ATM card and her PIN and maybe her credit cards as well. How hard would it have been for Christina to put on some bulky clothes and a pillow under her shirt and hide most of her hair under a hat and go into the bus station with Maria's ID and buy a ticket to El Paso?? Clerks are busy and not trained to observe and it was almost a MONTH before the clerk was asked to ID the purchaser of the ticket - after Maria's face had been posted everywhere. I am sure the clerk THINKS it was Maria - her ID SAID IT WAS Maria, after all. I think it MUST have been Christina with Maria's ID. It sounds like or Christina called the CC company or Western Union and wired money from Maria's credit card to "Maria" and somebody HAD to pick that money up at Western Union with Maria's ID --- Christina again impersonating Maria?

It isn't hard to "be" someone else when you have access to their apartment, their car and their computer, their clothes, their ID and are of a similar height. Everything else can be "faked" long enough to fool a busy clerk - especially since DL and ID photos are universally AWFUL and outdated.
