Why did the warrant mention kidnapping then though is what I can't figure out? Were they just looking for evidence that one took place maybe?

When I read the kidnapping, IMO, I thought perhaps Christina may have told LE something along those lines & that LE had not released info.

Yes, the abrasive, annoying Colonel (probably Maria's superior, unfortunately) said $700. I guess that he wanted to make darn sure that we knew that's why they thought that she had left on her own accord.
