Anything is possible with this case. Something tells me that when it is all said and done, the whole scenario will be bizarre.

I did want to make note of the running away to be together theory. Why the rush? The rape charges were not imminent especially if you believe she somehow recanted. Her mother was visting soon. Again the stupid note for the roomate. Why not wait a little while longer and have the baby? If you go UA the marine corp is looking for you. I would wait and have my baby in a hopital. Checks stop after you go UA, why not wait until you deliver and get a few more checks, I am assuming that the military allows some sort of maternity leave, say it is as little as 30 days. That is 2 paychecks, and you could leave town in that 30 days and the military would not even know until you are to show up after maternity leave.

Can anyone give any information on what kind of maternity leave the marine corp allows?

That theory about them taking the baby would be possible if the wife wasnt a marine. I just don't know how they would claim that she was pregnant but never went to the doctor?

I mean pregnant women in the military get profiles for pt and stuff, and she wouldnt have had one of those let alone seeing a doctor and them saying she wasnt pregnant.

Where would she say she had the baby at? Where would she say she seen a doctor at?

I heard on a message board that is what was being said....is that he said his wife was pregnant. I just don't know how they would pull it off.....stranger things have happened, but that would be close to impossible.

btw yes I believe the wife had something to do with everything and def knew about it.

It doesn't apply to the Coast Guard because they are not part of the Department of Defense. They are under the Department of Homeland Security now, but under the Department of Transportation before 911. Our Navy ships can't send Naval personnel to board drug ships and arrest drug runners of any nationality on the high seas; the Coast Guard has to ride along and do that, because the drug laws they're enforcing are United States laws. Military police can only enforce the Uniform Code of Military Justice.

Thanks! :)

So, if a military asset is prevented by something from going into Mexico or Canada to apprehend one of their military deserters, it isnt Posse Comitatus that prevents them!;)

Good morning, everybody.

I keep waking up each morning with the hope that today is the day 🤬🤬🤬 will be captured. I keep praying for justice to be done for Maria and Gabriel.

Keep thinking positive thoughts that they will find him. Things are looking a bit dim at the moment, but maybe he will be found eventually. Hopefully some tourist in Mexico (or wherever he is) will see him lurking around a bar with his buddies and turn him in. It has happened before. : )

I thought this is what the DA said in the presser, but I wasn't sure I heard right. If this has already been posted, I apologize.

Lauterbach died of "traumatic head injury due to blunt force trauma," according to autopsy results released Tuesday. But authorities said the exam failed to answer all the questions detectives have about Lauterbach's death, including whether she gave birth before her death and of the identity of the father.

Ok, I don't understand why they don't have the identity of the father yet.
We all heard sheriff saying the little hand was very visible, detached from the arm. That surely would be enough to get dna, wouldn't you think?
It's either the murder's child or someone else's.

And for the handwriting experts, anyone know how long that takes? I have seen in the past(don't know which show)a few on tv, showing what they look at. My common sense would say one day to compare the notes.

Also I would think they'd have on hand, actually all 3 hand writing, since they are all at the same post. And would of at least compared the first 2 notes sooner.....Is it just me?

I thought I heard Nancy Grace say n her show last night that it looks like
the father might not be CL. Did anyone else hear this.

Honestly I don't think that 🤬🤬🤬 would have gone through all that he did if there was any way he was innocent of the rape allegations. He would not have had reasons to kill her and get rid of the evidence by burning them like he did. I believe the baby was his, otherwise, why would Maria have endured all the harrassing, slugging, etc. she went through ?

What if he found out the baby wasn't his? That could be why she was there at his home.To tell him it wasn't his.He lost it and killed her.

I think the baby was his his though.Just throwing that other theory out there.

There is just so much that we don't know.

Tica, I agree! Why would CL go to the extreme he did if he was not guilty of
rape or the father of the baby. Still, I heard Nancy make this commnet.

I think they were going off the May conception date. I wish we knew really what the date was.

I'm sure there is enough DNA, but I think even prelim DNA takes at least a week. And I don't know if that's enough to match to a father. The note, I would think would only take a day.

I agree that everything does seem preplanned and calculated, however, by who and how many?

Why they thought she was voluntarily missing. What happened that put 🤬🤬🤬 on the run? I don't know why but I feel like that is one of the big missing pieces. The only thing significant that happened is that Durham was back the same night for questioning.

Were Durham and 🤬🤬🤬 friends? It would stand to reason that they all knew each other or worked to together. Was 🤬🤬🤬 worried about what Durham would say? Was he worried that Durham would crack under pressure?

Something is not right.

I'm not sure Durham is involved. However, it's interesting the triggers that probably caused Cesar to react. The cell phone was found the day after local LE started trying to make contact with Maria's unit. The same unit that would not call LE back untill LE got top brass involved. The car was being driven around by 🤬🤬🤬 and sitting in his driveway, suddenly it's back at the bus station. I'm sure that was prompted by local LE trying to contact that unit as well.

I think what triggered Cesar to run was the meeting the day before with NCIS that he walked out of. I think the note was to let his wife off the hook.

Anyone else notice that Cesar has a thing for writing notes and bus stations?

The timelines for Maria, show that her last day seen was Dec 14.

Withdrawal of $400.00 made on Dec 14th.

Bus ticket purchased on Dec 15th AFTER she had CASH.

For the authorities to know that she purchased a bus ticket she had to have used her credit card.

WHY didn't she use some of her cash, and why and where was she the night of Dec. 15th. DID 🤬🤬🤬 take her to the motel with promise to divorce and marry??

IF IF she used cash to purchase the bus ticket HOW would OR DID LE know that? You don't give your name when you buy a bus ticket????

Also about the DNA, Dr Baden said that DNA can be obtained from the burned remains. Betcha they know already whether 🤬🤬🤬 was actually the father.

Little Deers timeline shows $400.00 withdrawn on Dec 24. Not so compared to Military timeline here

Quote below:

At this point, we’ll discuss a few things that occurred December 14th that the command did not know until sometime later. For example, when Sgt Durham arrives home from work, he finds a note left for him by LCpl Lauterbach stating, “I could not take this Marine Corps life anymore. So I am going away. Sorry for the inconvenience. Maria.” Sgt Durham notices that some of her personal items are missing. She does not leave the house key behind. Sgt Durham calls LCpl Lauterbach’s sister concerning the note. Shortly after this conversation, LCpl Lauterbach’s Mother calls Sgt Durham. Sgt Durham text messages a junior member of LCpl Lauterbach’s work section indicating his belief she was going into an Unauthorized Absence status, commonly referred to as “going UA.” There is an ATM withdrawal of $700 from LCpl Lauterbach’s account. Transaction occurs in Jacksonville. Video surveillance confirms LCpl Lauterbach makes the withdrawal. The ATM information is not provided to the command until January 9th. Please remember LCpl Lauterbach was at work on Friday, was not required to attend the Christmas party, and therefore was not required to be at work until Monday morning.

On Saturday, December 15th, Greyhound bus records reflect a ticket is purchased in LCpl Lauterbach’s name for one way to El Paso, Texas

When they do get the dna from the baby how will they compare it to Laurean's dna?

  • #497
I'm not a psychic, but I'm going to go ahead and say that was his baby.

If I thought I had gotten another girl pregnant (when I was married) and she came and told me it wasn't mine -- I would be relieved. I wouldn't kill her.

I think I read a statistic once that stated that if a pregnant woman dies -- Like 80% of the time the death is caused by the father.

Then the story went on to state that if a mother is killed during the 8-9 month time period -- it's the father of the child over 90% of the time (it might have been even closer to 100%)

This baby will turn out to be his.

When they served the Search Warrant on his home, I am fairly certain this would include items which would contain his DNA.

  • #499
My theory is that the whole thing was premeditated. I believe both Laurean and Christina were in on it.

The one withdrawal was made by Maria, the other one was not, IMHO.

I think the baby was his and they didn't want any chance of having to pay child support.

I think that the 🤬🤬🤬 could be anywhere. He may not even be in Mexico, he may just want folks to think he's in Mexico.

I also think that the Marine Corp dropped the ball when they didn't turn over the restraining orders to the police department the minute these folks all moved off base.

I think that the note and the other withdrawal were both done by 🤬🤬🤬 and Christina. Someone above mentioned "Notice how he has a thing for notes and bus stations"

Oh thank God for technology! I never even thought of that..
