All the searches I did early on stated 11/22. But you know how that goes. One record is input incorrectly and then it just keeps showing up wrong on everything from that point on.

Maybe we do need a Forum for this case! It is already difficult to keep up with and it is going to become even more complicated if they can tie him to other murders (which I think none of us doubt is coming).

Yes! Everyone is gathering great info. I have some stuff in Word Doc I've been saving to start a thread.

Tara popped into my mind right away.

In fact, I'm in the process of remapping missing/murdered along I-75 and I-77, as well as national parks.

It might take me a while, as I have three huge southeastern US maps on corkboards, each one represented by pushpins... many of the cases date back to the 70's. I have over 150 marked, but I'm trying to "redefine" my filters.

I'll let yall know what becomes of all this.

Yipee, we have a mapmaker!

This is why we need a forum.

Has anyone noticed if Hilton has any tattoos?

Sorry if this has been asked :blushing:

I think it looks like he's wearing the beanie from the dashcam video. Can someone do a side by side? After seeing Hilton in the dashcam video, I think he is definitely the guy in the ATM pics in both the Bryant and Dunlap cases.

Here are quite a few side-by-sides, Suzy. I tried lightening the ATM pic I found as much as I could, but the beanie blends into the dark background so well that the outline is barely visible. I do think it's the same beanie but I'll leave it up to all of you to make up your own minds. I know they're not very good, but the resolution of the ATM pics and the dash video pics is very bad :(

if someone knows how I can upload the pics side by side in the POST itself, without going through photobucket, please send me an IM. Thanks in advance!

Looks like the same beanie to me. Great job! Do you happen to have a cleared up pic of the close up at the Dunlap ATM?

Just what I thought. Same build in all pics. I will be shocked if Hilton and the ATM guys are not one and the same.

I think that's the same Gary Hilton that is the kidnapper/murderer we were talking about the other day. However, I had no idea he had escaped at one point...scary.

I think Hilton must plan the murders and that they don't make him mad. He must need money, goes to parks, and then gets the victim. Getting older, maybe he's become less organized and more apt to act on impulse even after being seen with a victim, but I'd bet he's killed, robbed, and attacked in years past and never got caught. No telling what all he's done.

About MS, people can work and live normally for years. It's not even considered fatal. The witch who stalked me at my job every weekend has it, and still going strong. Maybe MS makes some nutty people even nuttier though.

hubby played around with photoshop of the bankphotos where it looks like the guy is wearing shaving cream all over his face...

In the one where htey are closer up...look in close at the neck area on the right hand side (if you're looking at him)

Does it look like a tatoo or something is there? It's a darker spot. Also, if you zoom in close...he didn't go close to the lip area with whatever is used. we thought maybe shaving cream, or plaster of paris..(think casts are made of it, you mold it to the shape by drpaing and let it dry) easily destroyed into nothing if needed to be OR he could easily reuse it since he was the "mold" for it.

anyways, could'nt sleep and the whole thing popped back into my head. I may be dead wrong, but just thought I'd see what' ya'll thought.

Great find, good job.
You should send that to the police, really.

Could someone please do that for me as I'm in Australia and actually have to walk out the door in about five mins.
I am running about 45 mins late because I can't get myself off here..aaagghh!

Much appreciated.

Did that happen in Colorado Springs? That is the town adjacent to many military bases as well.. Ft.Carson is a big army base there and there is Air Force, NORAD, etc... in the dashcam video some of you said he is acting giddy & I agree I also think he is acting nervous kinda hyper...definately guilty of something.

Gazette, The (Colorado Springs), Dec 16, 1999

Last week, hospital psychiatric technician Heather Coy, 26, was charged with aiding in the escape of patient Gary Hilton, who was arrested at her home Nov. 30.

I wonder how long he was on the run for?!!!

Just posted by Bluebird at Huffs. Thanks Bluebird! IMO, the van described below sounds like it's disabled and abandoned. The 2nd van maybe? We know from the dashcam pic that Hilton was a squatter. This may very well be the location where he held Merideth.

Tia,
Here is the excerpt from GretaWire. I will paste the link for the page but you would have to scroll down and search for his comments.

"I am back from the search of the area around my home on the Amicacalola River. Last Thursday, I saw a wh. Van parked in the woods across a large field bordering a field. Their is a cable with a combination lock to keep out uninvited guests. The barbed wire fence connected to the gate had been cut then tied back together to hide the cut. I found several fresh items, bottle water, buiscuit wrapper, wet wipes. “Natural Foods” ;organic food sack(this is sold at trail head stores on the trail & intern.) etc, The Van had backed up in a trench to so that it wasn’t visible. The van had knocked down medimum size saplings and pushed them 20′ from their original location. A wet wipe bottle was placed on a stake to mark the location, in case he left. While LE was on the scene, 2 different neighbors stopped and said they saw the van and described to a tee. Aprox 300 yards from that location is a vacant house. The door had been smashed in and one room with curtains, had 3 mattresses, that were being slept on. Several items, clorox, dr. pepper 3/4 full, bottle water, dog feeces etc. A well off of the back porch; the cover had been removed and leaves around the cover had been recently disturbed.
GBI, & several LE, withK-9; cadiver dog. No hits for body but obvious they were there. It was very cold this week. When I called the tip line the GBI was searching the river about a mile below the house and field. They left after about an hour and said that had requested the dogs at the previous location. Tired, gotta go for now….."

I'm afaid that's the best I could do with that particular ATM pic. I found another one with a closeup somewhere but I lost it. I have no clue what post linked it..... brain is tired and I have to get up for work in 4 hours. If anyone has that other "saran wrap or shaving cream pic" please send me an IM with the link and i'll try to do a side-by-side when I wake up. Thanks. *but I don't doubt for one second that it's the same man".
