Missing Georgia hiker--Meredith Emerson, 24 #3

I noticed the "pissed off" mood too. I remember her boyfriend saying that the airlines had lost her luggage the day before she disappeared. I had assumed that's why she was pissed off.

On another forum, Meredith's friend had another explanation.

His chauffeur connection stuck out to me, especially given the apparent recent warning (http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1900211#post1900211) that Athens, GA students were given about avoiding a van "taxi service" that was offering students rides. Might Justin Gaines (http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showthread.php?t=55860&highlight=justin+gaines) have been one of the kids that accepted a ride?

I saw that report too, but I guess we'll never know for absolute certainty why she was upset...

As far as I know the only thing you can decode from the SS# is the state it was issued. The first 3 digits of his are 265.
261-267 are SS# issued in Florida. So when he applied for his SS card he had a Florida Address.

Just some info about SS#s

Employee records, patient records, student records, and credit records are sometimes indexed by Social Security number. The U.S. military has used the Social Security number as an identification number for the Army and Air Force since July 1, 1969, the Navy and Marine Corps since January 1, 1972, and the Coast Guard since October 1, 1974.


It is highly possibe the SS# was issued to him by the military when/if he was in. If that is the case then its probably valid and so is his name.

I think that was cleared up yesterday that the guy was aprehended and in his 20's?. I could be wrong though.

I have a question that may have been answered but if so I have missed the info.

When Meredith's body was found her body was buried in 1 location and her head in another location from what I have read.

My first question is was any other part of her body cut off..hands, feet,etc? Was her body and/ or head in trash bags? Had any other damage been done to her body besides the decapitation and the blunt force to the head ?

As I work for the government, just wanted to confirm that what is said above is 100% accurate.

Doesn't mean that he hadn't applied for a new social security number either before or after this one though under a different name.

good grief!...Cheryl went missing on December 1st, then we have Meredith disappearing Jan 1st....this guy Hilton was 'on a roll', it appears to me....Irene & John went missing in October (around the 21st?)...like i mentioned before; there's no telling how many he's killed....4 victims in a 3 month period...no doubt whatsoever there's others...

oh yes, angel.......seems to me, he killed these folks for their money mostly....he needed money for gas, food, etc....just moved from place to place killing for money to live, without a 2nd thought of it....oh yeah, there's more victims....

i tend to get the stories a bit confused at times, but was Meredith's ATM card used??....we know Hilton used, or tried to use, Cheryl's & Irene & John's right?

It was attempted but we don't know if he retrieved money for sure or not.
