Missing in the Sixties

Forgot to add this guy to my list of people who were kidnapped and lived into adulthood, not knowing who their true family was - a man who was an acquaintance of musician Glenn Alan. From Glenn's CD Baby Page:
"The song Ready or Not was inspired by a person that I met while working in Nashville TN that had been abducted as a child and lived to be fifty years old before he was reunited with his real mother who passed away shortly thereafter."

Does she have any memories that might help determine what part of the country she lived in? Such as remembering playing in snow or maybe palm trees in the yard. Does she remember what kind of housing she was in - inner city apt or rural farm area? Any sibings? Anything along those lines?

I have asked her some questions along those lines, such as were there any landmarks, certain types of trees or flowers, a body of water nearby, etc. She said she would try to think about it but at the time I asked her, nothing was coming to mind. I don't think I asked specifically about snow or palm trees, type of housing - I'll ask and see what she says. Thanks for the ideas!

I've been in contact with someone who was kidnapped as a child and is searching for her true identity. The police aren't helping her because she has no "proof" of anything and can only remember her age and general time frame during which she was kidnapped. She can't go public because the kidnapper is still alive.

I know a girl whom has been in contact with me that is from fl. she told me her mom was looking for her sister because her parents had sold her when she was a child. I am still tring to get infomation from her about it.

There are probably quite a few more. Keep in mind that the websites you are using are all fairly new, and they are adding cases every day to their sites. There are a number of cases involving missing children in the threads here on Websleuths.

Ann Marie Burr. Possibly Ted Bundy's first victim.

I copied this for you from Wiki: (Eight-year-old Ann Marie Burr vanished from her Tacoma home on August 31, 1961[332] when Bundy was 14. The Burr house was on Bundy's newspaper delivery route. The victim's father is certain he saw Bundy in a ditch at a construction site on the nearby UPS campus the morning his daughter disappeared. Other circumstantial evidence implicates him, but detectives familiar with the case have never agreed on the likelihood of his involvement.[59] Bundy repeatedly denied culpability and wrote a letter of denial to the Burr family in 1986.[333] Forensic testing of materials from the Burr crime scene, in 2011, yielded insufficient DNA material for comparison with Bundy's.)

I'd be interested to know if there was a stolen car reported that night, as Bundy would have needed transport to move the victim away from being found. I say stolen car, as Bundy was only 14, and would not have had access to his own transport. Its just a theory of mine.

Hi all,

I'm working on something right now and I could use a little help. I'm looking to compile a list of children under 5 who disappeared in the early to mid sixties. Here's what I have so far:

Elizabeth Gill
2144DFMO - Elizabeth Ann Gill
http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/g/gill_elizabeth.html
Have you seen this child? ELIZABETH GILL

Todd Collett
641DMCA - Todd Eugene Collett
http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/c/collett_todd.html

James Bordenkircher
3508DMCA - James Dwyer Bordenkircher
Have you seen this child? JAMES BORDENKIRCHER

That's all I can find so far! Any others I'm missing?
Hi Gina, I was interested in knowing if you are still seeking to possibly identify a missing person and can provide more detail. Eye color, hair color. Hopefully, the person will be removed from the fear they feel and seek the truth. I know many families are waiting for that day to rejoice in.

Coming across this WAY TOO LATE but just heard more details about this case today. The street in front of the Burr house was torn up in prep for being repaved. Police now wonder if she had put in a shallow grave there and is now covered with years and years of pavement.

So...scrolling quickly through...it's a girl, a woman now....we can skip all the missing boys under age 5. Just for the sake of helping you in your search (and maybe you posted this already, sorry upfront) Is she Caucasian, Native American, Black American of Biracial? Color hair, color eyes...>

What if more than one child was involved and sent to different places?

How about an update?
