Ireland Missing Postman Xmas 1929

Hello everyong ,
Larry Griffin disappeared 90 years ago on Christmas day. About 10 people were prosecuted for his murder but never convicted. He disappeared in the small town of Stradbally. Reading about the case, it is obvious that most people in Stradbally knew what happened to him but the accused vehemently denied of any wrongdoing.

What are your thoughts on it? Is there anyone here from Stradbally or surrounding region who knows about this? Anyone alive during his disappearance wouldn't be alive now, but did anyone hear anything from your parents or grand parents?
Larry's body was never found. His grandchildren are still searching for him to get closure.

I know it is a bit picky, but Co Waterford is Eire and not in the UK. Labelling it as the UK is a bit like labelling Vermont as Canada.

Not really, not in the same way that Ireland was historically part of the UK....

There are some terrific posters from Great Britain, Scotland, Wales, and Ireland, might be worth your while to include them.

Re: locations in Ireland, one group of my ancestors is from Westmeath & Athlone, another Ventry and Ferriter; others Glamorgan, Lanark, Chichester, and on.

jmho ymmv lrr

Both the USA and Canada were historically part of indigenous Indian lands and both former British colonies....but now they're not.
How far do you go back?
