Here's an update from last month (October.) Maurnice, the assailant, was given probation and community service, with other conditions to be met, and Kaylee was still undergoing therapy and awaiting surgery to replace part of her skull, which had to be removed.

Maurnice Declue admitted to assaulting Kaylee Gain after the juvenile officer overseeing the case amended the charge to second-degree assault, her lawyer said.
