They'll definitely retry IMO. If it was just one holdout that voted not guilty, they have a damn good chance of convicting him next time.

I didn't get to see livestream when the jury informed the judge that they were hung, was it said in courtroom or a note handed over to the judge by the baliff? I would like to know if a juror handed the note over or told the judge they were hung. The foreman speaks for the jury. Did anyone speak for the jury in the courtroom?

Nobody from the jury spoke. It was a note.

if jury polling results show something like 11-1 voting for guilt they may try it again, but of its like 9-3 or lower doubt they will waste the time and money to retry the case

True. I guess I assumed that because people on here were talking like it was just 1. I joined late today for the deliberations.

Did they poll the jury? I missed it - stupid work stuff!

I am SHOCKED - they made us keep deliberating for over 30 hrs for the case I was on. I am thinking it had to be a one juror hold up? Someone who was just not going to budge. We had 3 in our case - but we finally came to a verdict.

9 hours - and DEADLOCKED and Judge declares mistrial? SMH Guess that's what happens when the judge is daddy's friend and your attorney has a friend on the jury.

Doesn't surprise me, all along I felt the Prosecutor's closing was convoluted. Didn't matter how cute it may have sounded....creepin around in the middle of the night and repeating it constantly would not get a conviction.
