Objection overruled to when the witness first became aware something was wrong. I can't handle this very well- her parents must be going through hell

Writing his number on a giant pad that he had back in 2013. Maryland number.

Side note I didn't know the h is silent in horrey.

Sent the photo to what he believed to be her roommate while on the date.

This is where TM claims in one of her many rants the police frame him with his phone.

So we are to believe three officers just decided to frame him.

oh....the old double whammy trick from DT. The 2nd DT attorney is now questioning same witness. He is already being mean again and implying they did shoddy work.

I hope the jury begins to get mad at DT for their tactics and demeaner. They are being very mean IMO

Yes. All this you didn't question the manager crap. So how many people is he going to ask? They are telling him what their portion of the investigation is.

The witness is writing out for the jurors the numbers he tried to call during his investigation into the disappearance of Heather Elvis. Those numbers are being displayed in front of the jury box.

According to Canterbury's testimony, Moorer said it was Heather Elvis who had contacted him. The defendant handed officers his cellphone to show where Elvis had called him, the witness testified.

On cross examination by the defense, Canterbury reiterated that the defendant showed him his cellphone to indicate Elvis had called him.

Defense and the witness are going through a report that stated Moorer hadn't seen Elvis since October, but had talked to her the night she disappeared.

LOL I think that would have been better than having the officer use a sharpie on an easle. :)

State is back up asking LEO. Says he didn't know about SM payphone call when he wrote that SM was not a suspect at that time in the missing person case of HE. (at that time)

Truslow comes back in with a low blow to TE. Grrrrrr

Breaking for lunch until 2:00. Jury not to talk about the case among themselves while at lunch.

It's 'Or-ree'.
<mod snip>.

And, even the 'R' is silent in some pronunciations---mostly by those of the older generations.

As in, "OH-REE COUNTY".

So yes, "OR-REE" or "OH-REE."
(TOE-MAY-TOE or TO-MAH-TOE.)

Why do they take such long lunch breaks?

This shows and proves that SM was well aware that by using that pay phone he was trying to make sure he could prove he did not originate any contact with HE. Good police work to find out he lied and find out about the pay phone.

That is going to become critical in this case. It shows SM was planning.

Arranged for jury to do a field trip to take the jury to see the route this afternoon.

Judge will accompany them.

LE is going to take the jury out to the route to see the cameras this afternoon. Shouldn't take longer than 10 minutes. State is asking to do this last so the jury can do this before they leave. Judge says that nobody can speak to them on the ride.

Good, we need a break and so does the jury.

Thanks to everyone transcribing here today, y'all are doing a stand out job. :loveyou:

Defense objects. Of course. IMO

Judge says he will go with them so nobody talks to the jury.

ETA: Judge is allowing this b/c it goes with the camera evidence.
