I tweeted Meghan asking if any of Sidney's supporters were there. Her reply indicated the courtroom was only filled with potential jurors...meaning supporters for anyone were outside. The first eight members of the jury pool have been excused because they are the primary caregiver for a young child under the age of 7 and claimed their exemption.

An officer or employee of the Department of Corrections is also exempt from jury service. No one claimed that exemption.

The judge is asking if any of the potential jurors are 65 years old and, if so, would like to claim their exemption from jury service. One man stood and said he wanted to stay

I find that hard to believe. I had Jury Duty in March and we were there until Thursday (started on Monday) and it went by FAST since it was a MUCH smaller (local one person suing another) case. :thinking: JMO
