This. This a million times. Ladies, be careful when you meet a man (I know they lie without disclosing they are married) and he is "leaving his wife" Be very careful! IMO
The young women/girls who most need to know this are not following this case on WS, since the member demographic is about 2 to 3 times that age, on average. I'd hope the women in their 30's and up already understand this.

Anyone have info about a f150 sync module? Maybe they got location of truck info from it?

I'm not sure but I'm thinking it's a built in navigation device, such as OnStar or something.

So in the very beginning people here thought she was killed at another location and members of the TM clan were in control of her car and phone calling each other. I think if we try to put that in with our new timeline of her tracks that night, it fits. This is JMO but I'm going to look at it closer. I need to visit the exact time SM was seen at WM and then at the payphone compared with her known whereabouts.

We need to look at the times there was no phone activity too. The 45 minutes at her apartment, the 15 mins in the parking lot of Longbeards, the 2 mins in the parking lot of her apartment, etc...

So strange about her ???? going back to her apartment after going to the other place.

It's almost like somebody pick her up at her apartment took her to the other place then was following another person driving her car and in their car to go back to pick up their car at her place.

I need to let this all sink in and read other people's opinions. lol

I don't think the Ms had any idea that her movements could be tracked like this. I don't know- maybe they did, but it seems if they did then the phone would have disappeared much sooner. I don't think they used her phone to say she was harassing and calling them after they killed her. Of course they are murderers and murderers always slip up somewhere.

If it were me- like I would even kill someone- but for arguments sake I wouldn't want my phone associated with hers at all. I don't think I would make calls to make it look like anything- but I would use a payphone probably.

I don't know it's hard for me to think differently than I do because I don't believe anything they say....and honestly so many people gave Heather a hard time about the relationship she may have been less than honest with her friends because she didn't want to hear it. I can totally see that and understand it.

The nice thing about evidence: evidence doesn't lie. Cell phone pings don't lie. GPS doesn't lie. Video doesn't lie. Walmart videos don't lie. Humans lie, but not evidence. And SM already went on record with police, placing himself in contact with the victim at crucial time: the first phonecall from pay phone and then later after 3am.

Still think SM was "in love with" Heather, like some misbegotten fairy tale?

No, that was a fantasy, pure & simple. He never 'loved' her. He liked having sex with her and when caught and then facing a possible oops pregnancy he disposed of her.
I think she probably "caught feelings" but he just kept doing and saying what she needed to hear for him to get what he wanted. Sure, he brought her bagels and showed her attention, but I think that was to woo her pants off, not because he loved her.

It seems the defense is just going to elude to several scenarios - like that it may have been the abusive ex- never looked into according to them. Or the date who's cell phone movements were not tracked like hers were. Or whatever else they decide might work LOL. So therefore reasonable doubt. Fortunately it's not reasonable. What's reasonable is they didn't lie. They didn't contact her from payphones and they didn't harass her prior to her going missing.

Every chance the defense gets he tries to imply the police didn't do their job. Even with the cell phone guy he said are you aware the defendant was already in jail and they hadn't even gotten this information from you yet- acting like they just picked this guy to arrest and then got the evidence. I know it's his job. I hope the jury sees the truth.

Exactly. That seems to be their strategy. It could have been the man on the moon guilty too but who had the motive, who bought a pregnancy test at wee hour of morning, who called HE from a pay phone when he already had a cell phone, who got HE so upset she was crying to Bri, who was in the vicinity of her apartment and had a truck going to the landing, etc etc.

Instead of reasonable doubt we have a reasonable conclusion that can be made with this case.

She had feelings for him, I'm sure of that.
His feelings for her were contained below the belt.

RSBM. I agree. I don't think anyone was using HE's phone but HE.

from wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Sync#Overview

Ford Sync
Ford Sync (stylized Ford SYNC) is a factory-installed, integrated in-vehicle communications and entertainment system that allows users to make hands-free telephone calls, control music and perform other functions with the use of voice commands.[1][2] The system consists of applications and user interfaces developed by Ford and other third-party developers. The first two generations (Ford Sync and MyFord Touch) run on the Windows Embedded Automotive operating system designed by Microsoft,[3] while the third generation (Sync 3) will run on the QNX software from BlackBerry Limited.[4]

Traffic, Directions and Information[edit]
Traffic, Directions and Information is an application that provides the user with traffic alerts, turn-by-turn directions and information about topics such as weather, sports, news and 411 business search. Ford announced on May 27, 2009 that the Traffic, Directions and Information application would be free for three years to the original owner of 2010 model year SYNC equipped vehicles. The information for traffic alerts and Turn-By-Turn Directions are provided by INRIX and Telenav.[14]

I agree, I had to walk away and think about it. Trying to figure this out and keeping in mind that <modsnip> is charged with kidnapping too, so they must have some evidence tying her to it.

I have a Ford vehicle and I use Sync to talk on the phone hands free. My phone connects when I get in (if they set it up) and has my call log available (assuming it Downloads) and sync does all of the other things mentioned above.

So is this the "black box" that was "stolen" from their vehicle, the one that is going to prove exactly where they did and didn't drive and will ultimately clear them?

But she was calling the pay phone while at Long Beard's. The M's would not have done that. I hope the State has a scenario that puts it all together.

Who is she saying stole it, LE or an arranged for thief?

I still have to wonder if its possible that Sidney was in the apartment hiding when Heather got home from her date. When I look at the tight timeline of the pings regarding their truck driving to PTL and back home, and the tiny timeframe in which the truck would have arrived there vs when Heather's phone died or lost service completely, it makes me still think there's a possibility that Sidney could have driven Heather's car to PTL from her apartment and Tammy drove their truck to PTL from their house to pick up Sidney. I'm trying to remember why police are so confident that Heather was the one that drove her car to PTL. Did they capture her driving on camera? If they're basing it on her cell pings, Sidney could've had her phone...

BBM - just curious when you say "I still have to wonder if its possible that Sidney was in the apartment hiding" if you were on the jury do you think you would be wondering that or a whole lot of other things? I ask this because I keep going back to comments by people any where online that kind of have the mindset about what about this or that? So for you or anyone wondering, do you think you could clear the wondering in the jury box and follow the the state & SM's attorney until the end off the trial?
