I did a screenshot but then I thought better of myself as to posting and I am just so hurting for her and want her to get off that stand while they are taking 10 minutes to do a side bar!!

I have seen dozens of trials and it seems in every one, a witness regrets much of what he/she said in original statement to LE. Note to self: If ever I need to make a statement to police, "Say as little as possible".

She must be a better witness now, than before when she gave the statement.

I feel like if there was something important in the first statement for the defense they wouldn't have tried to stop Bri from being a witness.

Bri said she never knew where Jeremy lived. They are saying that in her statement she said he lived near Longbeards. If she said she didn't remember it wouldn't matter, but she said she never said that. So they need to present the statement.

They've decided to let Bri read the transcribed statement, so not playing it.

Why in the world did the State not have a transcript of Bri's original statement?

I'm feeling quite nervous.

This is obvious. I think BW is upset because of the pressure being put on her. I'm not saying she is not emotional about Heather. However, I feel it is more than that. Her demeanor changed when Truslow started questioning her. At times, she seemed to be a little defiant. Not criticizing her. Just giving my opinion of what I saw.

Did Bri, in her statement, implicate Jeremy?

KT was asking Bri if she said Jeremy was physically abusive and she said I think I said in my statement he was abusive and didn't specify. That's what started this fiasco IMO.

ETA: I think the judge blew this issue up more than anything else.

I agree, but I think I'd be defiant too- he's trying to show that his client isn't guilty, Bri is looking at her phone call with Heather that early morning, the messages she had seen from SM or TM, all of her experiences with HE, SM, and TM over the prior 5 months, and knowing in her heart that either SM or TM did something. She doesn't want the focus turned to Jeremy, the date, or anyone else. She knows in her heart who was responsible. It's so sad.

I agree paris... More of the TAMMY is who she was scared of.... Throw doubt. Bri is not helping herself by being flippant to KT. Too drastic of a change. She should def. stand up for herself but not be combative. Won't play well for the jury

What concerns me now is that she didn't tell Bri anything about where she might go to meet with SM. I was really hoping she had told her. So it appears that there is no evidence pointing to them planning a place to meet up.
