The fact that Misty smokes has no bearing on this case, jeez, lets move on.

If you are responding to my post, I am not upset that Misty smokes, but by the fact that Ron is seeing a girl her age. Sorry, I guess I didn't word it correctly.

I agree, that and the fact that her and Ron are dating.. age shouldn't matter. If the child wasn't missing noone would know about it anyway..
It would be different if the parents didn't know, and if she was trying to get out of the relationship, but he was controlling her.

Obviously that is not the case, and they are happily in love.

What does Misty smoking, and their ages/ relationship have anything DIRECTLY to do with this case anyway?? I mean you know how many 17 year olds babysit?? IMO this is no different!

JACKSONVILLE, FL -- Twenty-three days into their investigation, law enforcement officers are still trying to find Haleigh Cummings.

The five-year-old was last seen when her father's girlfriend, Misty Croslin, says she put her to bed.

Investigators have not fingered a suspect, but today members of Croslin's family spoke out about the search.

Croslin's mom and dad, Lisa and Hank, spoke out about a 19-year-old cousin who lives in Tennessee. His name is Joe. We are not identifying his last name because police have not named him a suspect in the case.

Police confirm the FBI has talked to Joe. Croslin's father says he spoke to police about the teenager on Tuesday. "I was into the police station yesterday telling them everything. I hope I don't get in trouble for saying, but ya know. I don't know what else to do."

I just found this online..... it is from a news blog..
http://www.🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬.net/119966
"Misty is the last adult to see Haleigh before she disappeared. Misty has told different stories as to her account of what happened that night. Investigators have questioned her multiple times, sometimes for hours at a time. Misty has eluded to one of her cousins who has a criminal history of breaking into homes and propping open the residence doors with bricks. The door at Haleigh’s home was found propped open with a cinder block. It was noticed when Misty realized Haleigh was missing. The light was on also. Misty claims the door was shut and locked and the light was off when she went to bed."

Bold by me..... that is the first I have heard of this! So she is basicly saying that Joe did it!

Interesting...and very specific with the "brick" and all. I wonder how Misty would knows about this detail of her cousin's activities?

Hi Di, Now that is really interesting about Joe having a habit of propping open doors with a cinder block! They must be commonly used there.

I think it is going to be a forensic miracle to get prints off it though unless it had been painted to give a better printing surface. I've always painted mine with oil basewd paint and they would take a print you could get. xox

ETA: Oops! The post alluded to but did not say Joe so I shouldn't have either. Guess I'll change it to a cousin of hers.

....................lolype29,i don't think it's obvious at all that ron and misty are happily in love....how do we know he's not controlling her and she's afraid to get out of the relationship. maybe he is telling her to blame this on the cousin.
soory,my cap and shift keys aren't working ...

It could be that his brother shared information with him about his nephew. Who knows?! I would have to assume it wasn't something Misty would know to tell LE, but maybe her dad was elaborating further on something she had told them.

what does Misty's dad know? Hope it comes to help find Haleigh!http://www.firstcoastnews.com/news/local/news-article.aspx?storyid=132845&catid=3

I played that video 4 times and I saw Rons dad with Mistys parents. They are now throwing Mistys cousin under the bus. Now thats twice that side of the family is pointing at the cousin in Tenn. This cousin Joe, if he had family up there with him, where is his support now? He should speak up and defend himself if hes got nothin to hide or LE did clear him.
LE says earlier he's not suspect. Then Mistys dad eludes to "no one being ruled out". But who would you beleive? Im sorry but if you really look at Mistys dads eyes under those glasses and listen to his slurred speach  Oh, I swear to God, they have some good Dr.s down there giving these folks tranquilizers....

So Misty & Rons parents are becoming a tight knit circle.

Her father checked himself out of the hospital after surgery against the advice of his Doctor is my understanding. He was seen in a wheelchair in the driveway in one video. I would say he has a legitimate reason to be on medication. It would help if people would learn the facts before attributing appearances to drug abuse or other things.

It was also shown in clips of LE stating at first JO was not a suspect then the revision of that statement was made so Misty's father is correct. It does appear LE did change their stance on him being "cleared" as a suspect.

I wouldn't say Misty is necessarily a "horrible person" but I think she did some extremely irresponsible things. I think she is gullible in some ways too, or just naive or scared. Either way, she's not telling all she knows.

When I heard Ron say "I am pleading for the life of my daughter", it made me wonder if he was told something like this might happen and it was drug connected. It was just something in the way he said it, made me think he knew more too.

Maybe Misty did tell LE everything she knows. There is just no way for us to know that.

As an adult, I have a hard time believing that a three to five month old relationship equals love that quickly. Relationships at that stage are usually more about lust than love.

If you're giving an Opinion fine, discuss it in a reasonable fashion. If you post a 'rumor' it will be deleted. There is a Rumor thread in the Parking Lot here Rumor Thread Haleigh Cummings

All posts made saying something is fact needs a link, not a hearsay source.

Obviously some have chosen sides on which side of the family the have allegiance to, and that's fine, just stop the bashing.

Posting of last names here is a 'NO-NO' as most know. Remember, the ALERT function is your friend if you want to bring attention to what you feel is offensive or against TOS as the MODS can't read every post made simultaneously.

Thanks for your cooperation.

It seems as if Misty & family are deflecting blame from themselves by casting suspicion unto cousin Joe, who LE says is cleared..

I tend to agree. It's another Jesse G/Amy H scenario, isn't it?

I try to remind myself that this girl through all the questioning and requestioning must be under tremendous pressure by LE to give them something to work with and to provide names of possible suspects. But I have to tell you it disturbs me too that what few details we've managed to glean from gf's story seem to always have emerged in response to holes or problems discovered in her story. After explaining away blankets, beds, bedtimes, it was 8pm, no it was 10 pm, up to potty, woops no it was a drink... then hadn't said a single thing about Haleigh's grandma stopping by at suppertime--until her timeline was questioned because she'd not been able to prove Haleigh was still alive and suddenly boom the 7pm sighting by dad's mom, oh no I guess it was some other people Grandma sent over... and now there is the fall guy/scapegoat/straw cousin Joe, I dunno... too few details, too late IMO. She seems fuzzy on exactly what the events of that evening were, and that just seems really odd for anyone who was there, and in a right mind.

Yes, or maybe Dad was (truthfully of not...) corroborating what Misty told LE by saying that he'd heard the same thing as Misty from the same and/or another person re: the nephew.

Don't forget the kids watched two videos before bed.
