That would apply in this case, if Rc or MC had anything to do w/ Haleigh's abduction. The law doesn't apply when you are talking about crimes against minor children.

A man and wife have spousal privilege ONLY with regard to anything that transpires during the marriage. They are not given spousal privilege if there is a crime against a child. But since Ron and Misty were married after the crime of the disappearance of Haleigh transpired, spousal privilege wouldn't apply, anyway.

There was something on the Misty 6 thread that I thought important enough to reply to, but dammed if I can remember it now.

Oh, now I recall....

Why are we presuming that PCSO [or FDLE or whoever] would necessarily disclose whether Ron or Misty appeared intoxicated? Especially if they were looking to the public for assistance in looking for Haleigh initially!

JMO.

I suspect that there is a lot we have not been told, hopefully with good reason. (But that's jmo.)

Because, according to one school of thought, if someone was in the presence of police, and there was a report filled out, the officer would definitely notice if anyone related to the report was intoxicated or under the influence, and would have to note that in the report. I say maybe they noticed, but it isnt "mandatory" that it is in the report. Unlike a 911 call, which is recorded and is admissable in court word for word. IMO JMO

Never heard of LE talking about the condition of the parents (victims) in a police report. That would be left up to the investigative report of which we have not seen.

Responding officers cannot record what they think only what they see and hear.

Please tell me about any kin of misty that abused her. Never happened as far as I know. If you are referring to JO, he was never a SO pr RSO. Misty once again threw out that a man was "messing" with her when she was young. The problem is JO is just about her age. She makes it sound so different. Recently she added her brother as the one that messed with her. And of course we have a guy sitting in a prison for messing with her when she was fourteen and he was sixteen. Come think of it that was only two years before she met ronald...not very far in her past at all.

I do agree that the story was changed to look better. RC didn't want it out there that they were all sleeping in the same bed. Everything he says is a reflection of how he want things to appear to DCF. As I said before he will NEVER let JR go (at least for now)....and will change, deflect or lie about what happened to protect him image so he can keep JR.

According to AH she also told RC that WBG did too.

OMG! WBG could be sitting in prison for a long time if she decided to tell on him.

LOL Well, I don't think they pressed that one. I will see if I can find the link stating she said that. :)

That's ok...don't bother searching for it...it's late..
WBG is was 29yrs old...he better stay on Misty's good side.

I was young (once) and left my car in neutral when I got out. It rolled down the hill and smashed into a kid's new pickup, shoving it into his dad's restored El Camino. (AMC Eagle.....things are TANKS!). I sat in the police car while the officer looked through his code book to figure out what to give me for a ticket (stupidity isn't a category, apparently). My friend's dad came down the hill with a cup of coffee, and as I drank it, IN THE SQUAD CAR, I turned to the officer and said "this is the worst cup of coffee EVER!" he grinned at me and kept looking. Turned out, Tina's dad had put whiskey in it for me to calm my nerves. The officer never noted it on the ticket. So well......yeah, they can observe, doesn't mean they're gonna make note of it.

We are on the Ron thread discussing Misty sightings and I want to make sure I get in in here just in case.

I was talking about the tipster that called LE and reported Misty wasn't home that night. One poster feels it was Joe P (mondex letter from Nay Nay) who reported it.

Busy reminded me that Tim Miller was approached by a girl in a bar that said Misty was at a party that night, and it could be that tip.

I thought it could have been Lindsey C because Tommy says he was there that night too and she didn't seem to be home with the kids.

Seems to me we have more sitings of Misty than Waldo..... So why is there a Grand Jury date yet?

I'm thinking these aren't the most upstanding of "witnesses". A good defense attorney would tear them to shreds on the stand. moo.

Could be, however IIRC LE or TM stated something to the fact since there were drugs involved perhaps the day was wrong and that the nights could have been mixed up..The party could have been on Sunday rather than Monday..We also have witnesses who claim to have heard Misty state at the bus stop that they had gotten some bad drugs the night before...JMO

So did LE feel good enough about the tip to put it out there and see what happened? If so, they got Tommy to come forward, I would say the release of that tip paid off.

I also think that if Misty was at fault due to negligence on her part and Haleigh died of some accident, her statement that she would never hurt that little girl, would make so much sense. She would also pass the LDT on the question of "did you cause harm to Haleigh or hurt her?" If she knew she didn't directly harm Haleigh, she could pass that question.....

I do recall LE stating early on that they had received a tip that MC was not at home the whole night like she stated. That is when G. Sykes spoke out to the public about going to the home that evening. It is possible that it came from the woman who spoke to Tim Miller as BL stated. I thought you wanted to know where the tip came from in August since you referred to that month in your post on the other thread-that's why I said Joe P. and left out the early tipster.

BBM-I know this isn't the Lindsy thread but I wonder what her alibi is for the Haleigh disappearance time frame? Has anyone ever heard it or heard her speak of it?

No wonder this case isn't solved yet, look who LE has to work with as far as witnesses. Poor Haleigh-we just want her found and those responsible for any crime against her to be held responsible. I think responsibility is severly lacking with a lot of players in this case.
The whole situation is very sad and there are so many "what ifs".

My thoughts and opinions only.
