MN - 2 Minnesota lawmakers and their spouses were shot by someone impersonating a police officer, JUNE 13,2025

The clothing description provided is different from the one initially given by LE, which identified the suspect as wearing blue pants, a blue shirt, and a black tactical vest. Did he change his clothes? If so, when? And where did he get a change of clothes since LE towed his vehicle?
Maybe from one or both of the homes he went into?

John Miller CNN: If the hat photo was taken after those crimes, wonders if someone picked him up or he had alternate transportation to make it to Minneapolis (I think he said it's 11 miles away from that last shooting location).

I suppose he could have just called an Uber or something. In any event, it appears he's trying to blend in, and using a big city to do that.

I'm fearful when the assailant fled the home on foot, after their encounter with LE. Given his so-called appearance, he likely used that to gain entry into a nearby home and take hostages. A 3-mile police perimeter has been established, and homeowners have been told to shelter in place.

Sources tell ABC News that authorities believe that when the Minnesota shooter opened fire, he was wearing a latex mask that looked realistic.

State, local and federal police have flooded the Minneapolis suburbs searching for Mr. Boelter, and for hours have asked residents near one of the crime scenes to shelter in place. Officials said a gunman impersonating a police officer killed Representative Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark, on Saturday morning and wounded Senator John A. Hoffman and his wife, Yvette, in separate attacks at the lawmakers’ homes

Hundreds of law officers fanned out across a Minneapolis suburb Saturday in pursuit of a man who authorities say posed as a police officer and fatally shot a Democratic state lawmaker in her home in what Gov. Tim Walz called “a politically motivated assassination.” Authorities said the same suspect also shot and wounded a second lawmaker and was believed to be trying to flee the area

Walz denounced the acts of violence, promising that “those responsible for this will be held accountable.”

“This was an act of targeted political violence,” Walz said. “Peaceful discourse is the foundation of our democracy. We don’t settle our differences with violence or at gunpoint.”

The governor also urged Minnesotans to refrain from participating in political protests on Saturday, as millions prepared to march across the country as part of the “No Kings” protests against the Trump administration and President Donald Trump’s planned military parade.

“Out of an abundance of caution my Department of Public Safety is recommending that people do not attend any political rallies today in Minnesota until the suspect is apprehended,” Walz said in a post on X.

Police deploy as a manhunt is underway for a shooter that targeted two state lawmakers, in Brooklyn Park, Minn. on Saturday, June 14, 2025.
The man accused of killing a Minnesota House lawmaker and her husband and wounding two others has been identified as 57-year-old Vance Boelter, a one-time appointee of Democratic Gov. Tim Walz

Vance Boelter is 57 years old and his Facebook page appears to have been deleted, but his LinkedIn bio identifies him as Dr. Vance Boelter and that he is a CEO of Red Lion Group in the Democratic Republic of Congo. He also is the Director of Security Patrols for Praetorian Guard Security Services, which provides security for private citizens.

In 2016, he was appointed by former Governor Mark Dayton to serve on the Governor’s Workforce Development Council, and was appointed to the Governor’s Workforce Development Board in 2019 by Governor Tim Walz. Both Hoffman and Hortman served on those boards with Boelter.

His profile says he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations from St. Cloud State University before attending Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee where he obtained his Master’s Degree in Management and then a Doctorate in Leadership.

I’m watching the news, they are showing a picture of him in civilian clothes and a cowboy hat? When was that taken?
At the press conference a few minutes ago they showed the picture and said that it was from a business security camera in Minneapolis, taken this morning. So this is the latest disguise they have of him.

“According to public records and archived websites reviewed by WIRED, the suspect served for a time as the president of Revoformation Ministries. A version of the ministry’s website captured in 2011 carries a biography in which he is said to have been ordained in 1993.”

What does he have in his hand in that picture ? Cell phone?

Law enforcement has said they found a manifesto and hit list in the alleged suspect’s car, which included politicians, abortion providers, and pro-abortion rights advocates. There were also allegedly fliers in his car for the “No Kings” protest against President Donald Trump, which took place in cities across the US on Saturday.

The 57-year-old, who has been identified as the suspected shooter according to numerous reports, runs an armed security service with his wife, and has been affiliated with at least one evangelical organization, a ministry he has also run with his wife, according to a tax filing reviewed by WIRED. (His wife could not be immediately reached for comment.) According to public records and archived websites reviewed by WIRED, the suspect served for a time as the president of Revoformation Ministries. A version of the ministry’s website captured in 2011 carries a biography in which he is said to have been ordained in 1993.

According to an archived website for the ministry reviewed by WIRED, the suspected shooter’s missionary work took him to Gaza and the West Bank during the Second Intifada, where, the website states, he “sought out militant Islamists in order to share the gospel and tell them that violence wasn't the answer.

A later version of the site was designed, according to an archived copy, by Israeli web design firm J-Town. Charlie Kalech, CEO of J-Town, tells WIRED that the alleged suspect was, in his recollection, “clearly religious and evangelistic. He had lots of ideas to make the world a better place.” The suspect, whom Kalech said was “nothing but nice to me,” commissioned J-Town, Kalech recalled, because they’re Jerusalem-based, and he said he wanted to support Israel.

A Facebook profile under the suspected shooter’s name was briefly viewed by WIRED before it was taken down. His profile had shown him “liking” several evangelical missionary organizations, as well as pages honoring Reinhard Bonnke, a German pentecostal evangelist known for missions in several African countries, and Smith Wigglesworth, a British evangelist who was influential in the pentecostal movement. He also “liked” the Alliance Defending Freedom, a conservative legal advocacy organization known for its hardline stances against abortion and LGBTQ rights.

The suspected shooter also appears to be the director of security patrols at Praetorian Guard Security Services, a security company run servicing the Minneapolis and St. Paul metro areas that he founded with his wife Jenny. The company advertises residential security patrols and uniformed security patrols. “We only offer armed security. If you are looking for unarmed guards, please work with another service to meet your needs better,” states the “red lines” section of the company’s website. The website also states that their “guards” wear the “best personal protective equipment money can buy.”

Wonder if any if the cameras in the homes captured him?

That hat is a ridiculous thing to wear? Not the sharpest tool in the shed!!!! This isn’t Texas!
