You know, I would have been perfectly OK with this monster having an accident during arrest, and being shot dead on the spot, or having a heart attack from the taser.

Oh no this doughboy will suffer quite a bit in prison - this cowardly fatty white piece of crap will be done. Sounding vulgar but I have known someone that was victimized by a pedophile, scum of the earth - I hope his fellow inmates destroy him - getting killed by cops is an easy way out.

I wish there was a way totally prevent these tragic cases and to stop terrorism both situations make me feel lost and helpless. I can't imagine what Alayna's family are going through right now. They were most likely giving this individual somewhere to sleep for the night and he has betrayed them in the most evil way possible.

Anderson worked with the Dad, was staying at their home, didn't have his own car. I wonder how good of friends they were? Was he grooming parents with little children? I swear, I give everyone the side eye these days.

It must be horrific to know you have been working beside someone capable of this and had them in your home most likely interacting with your children on a friendly basis. They would have had no clue what he was capable of. I hope they search his home and electronics for child abuse material and charge him to the max. Alayna and her family are in my prayers tonight. They have a very tough road ahead and they need our prayers and support.

It's such a bizarre behavior - worthy of a thread of its own. Sadly, according to a (nearly outdated) study, most abducted children are dead by the time they're reported missing.

And yes, perps are willing to risk everything in order to fulfill the urge. The WS forum is filled with such cases. We all scratch our heads, wondering at how "stupid" most perps are but in some cases anyway, maybe it's more about instant gratification to the max.

The most brilliant teacher I ever knew, when my kids were little, was Ms. Palacio. She strongly believed that the MOST CRUCIAL lesson for young children was learning to be patient about gratification. She would give them little treats and little toys on some mornings, and instruct them to keep them inside their desks, until the end of the day. And if they went ALL DAY, without opening the gift, or tasting the treat, then they had the chance to have another, even better present at the end of class. Early in the year, very few students could wait. But then they would see a few classmates getting a better bigger reward for waiting. By the end of the year ALL OF HER STUDENTS were capable of being handed a candy or a wrapped toy, and setting it on top of their desks, and waiting the entire day to taste it or open it. I consider that one of the greatest gifts that she taught my 2 kids!

That photo of him wrestling with a little girl just makes me sick now.

I thought the same thing/ I wanted to sleuth the FB to find out who she was and warn her parents!

This is a wonderful lesson to teach little ones!

That's exactly what I thought . Dad showed him a photo on his phone one day of the kids and this perp soon after needed a place to stay . ** speculative **

Yep! So many police shootings really bother me, but if you take a child, I have no problem with the police taking you down! There's nothing worse than someone who will harm a child.

I hope she didn't suffer. Ugh.

Me, too. This is why I tell any potential nanny family that they may have my social media accounts, as many references as they want, and no question is too personal. In this day and age, I don't know how people are able to have anyone around their precious children.

RIP Alayna.
I don't know what to say that hasn't been said. Something has to be done to these people. Just don't know what. Unbelievable 😢

OT a bit. I think Internet 🤬🤬🤬🤬 is the culprit. Yes, I know pedofiles have been around forever, but, but... it's seems everywhere these days. Regular sex between adults I guess gets boring when your watching it 24/7. So it's on to something else, and then somethin else "bigger, better, faster". IDK, I just don't understand it... these freaks just absolutely repel me. It's so disturbing that
a man would desire a child. There's no words to explain.

I don't know whether there's any more of it, or if because of the worldwide 24x7 coverage the internet gives, we hear about every incident that happens. Fifty years ago, people often didn't hear about cases outside their own local area.
