In response to recent events in Minneapolis, Germany has upgraded a travel warning to its citizens visiting the United States.
In a newly
updated travel advisory, the country’s foreign ministry urges Germans in the United Sstates to avoid large gatherings where violence could occur. Last March, the ministry updated its advisory to warn citizens about outstaying their visas or lying to border officials after
at least two Germans were arrested when trying to enter the United States.
The move was disclosed by an administration official as more Republican leaders broke with the White House’s handling of the shooting. U.S. Capitol Police were also investigating an attack on Representative Ilhan Omar.
