Here are the photos of Liam Conejo Ramos - from school and now. The outer part of the eyebrows. Of course, it is hard to compare and changes in the look can be caused by many reasons, but he looks different. What is it?

He looks like he lost a considerable amount of weight during detainment. We also know from the congressman who went and visited him that he was ill and unable to get medical care, so he may also be sick with a cold/virus. He looks very frail and sick to me in the new pictures and I hope he’s able to see a doctor soon.

The five-year-old Columbia Heights boy and his father, who have been in an ICE detention facility in Texas, have landed in Minnesota, according to U.S. Rep. Joaquin Castro from Texas....

The total number of children from Minnesota who have been detained by ICE in recent weeks is still unknown. Lawyers representing families say ICE’s practices of quickly moving detained children out of state makes it impossible to know who’s taken and to get them access to legal counsel.

bbm, in the aftermath of the killings in Minneapolis:

A Canadian company said on Friday that it would no longer sell a warehouse in Virginia to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, which had planned to use the site as an Immigration and Customs Enforcement processing facility....

Videos of federal immigration authorities fatally shooting Renee Good and Alex Pretti in Minnesota brought new scrutiny to the government’s operations after a year of enforcing anti-immigration policies.

In Oklahoma City, the mayor, David Holt, said in a statement last week that a planned warehouse sale to the Homeland Security Department had collapsed after the owner backed out of the sale....

In Social Circle, Ga., about 45 miles east of Atlanta, the city’s mayor, David Keener, released a joint statement with Senator Jon Ossoff, a Democrat, that said the city did not support a proposed plan for ICE to open a facility there. ...

bbm:

While there is broad support across the political spectrum for removing criminal aliens, the vast majority of individuals in the country without legal status have not committed serious crimes. To achieve a high level of deportations, Miller directed Immigration and Customs Enforcement to no longer focus on people with criminal convictions but to prioritize large numbers of arrests. That is why immigration officers, including Border Patrol agents, have been on the streets of Minneapolis, Los Angeles and other cities arresting people with no criminal background and engaging in what critics call racial profiling.

At the end of May 2025, The New York Times reported, “Stephen Miller, a senior White House official, told Fox News that the White House was looking for ICE to arrest 3,000 people a day, a major increase in enforcement.” ICE had averaged far fewer, or approximately 660 arrests daily....

After Border Patrol agents shot and killed ICU nurse Alex Pretti in Minneapolis, Miller directed the DHS statement...“Miller ‘heard ‘gun’ and knew what the narrative would be: Pretti came to ‘massacre’ cops,’ a source briefed on the process of assembling the press statement said.”

Dispatching Tom Homan to Minneapolis to replace Greg Bovino as the face of the administration’s deportation program represents a tactical change, but attorneys and analysts say it does not alter the goal Miller established to deport one million immigrants a year. To accomplish that goal, the administration will need to continue arresting and deporting individuals with no criminal convictions and place them in a growing complex of detention facilities throughout the United States....

There is no evidence that Trump will fire Miller and change U.S. immigration policy.

"The two federal immigration agents who fired on Minneapolis protester Alex Pretti are identified in government records as Border Patrol agent Jesus Ochoa and Customs and Border Protection officer Raymundo Gutierrez."

Ochoa is a Border Patrol agent who joined CBP in 2018. Gutierrez joined in 2014 and works for CBP’s Office of Field Operations. He is assigned to a special response team, which conducts high-risk operations like those of police SWAT units.

And like in the Renee Good shooting, both are experienced agents, rather than recently recruited, barely trained neophytes.

From your link ..

Ochoa, who goes by Jesse, graduated from the University of Texas-Pan American with a degree in criminal justice, according to his ex-wife, Angelica Ochoa.
A longtime resident of the Rio Grande Valley, Ochoa had for years dreamed of working for the Border Patrol and finally landed a job there, she said. By the time the couple split in 2021, he had become a gun enthusiast with about 25 rifles, pistols and shotguns, Angelica Ochoa said.

Trained and experienced in controlling serious crime situations, but apparently not trained for working with residents who shout and whistle.
