They don't kill too many people down there. But they do apprehend criminals. However, when they do kill people, it often seems to be on a road in the middle of nowhere. I think one agent killed someone by shooting across the river.

I don't understand why these ICE agents are so twitchy about people filming them or barracking them? Surely they know they are in a place where many don't support them or their role and if they have a justified/defined role to play then they should have the confidence to go about doing their duties. It is almost as if they see disorder & criminality in legitimate protest. Medics were NOT there immediately. There was, to my mind, a significant delay before anyone goes to see if Alex was OK. Why couldn't one of the ICE people who were there have gone to Alex's aid immediately instead of backing off, guns out as if expecting more gunshots when they knew they themselves were the only ones who were shooting. I had thought all of the ICE people would have received basic first aid training. I had thought that even if Alex was mortally wounded he may not have been dead and someone with humanity could have been there with him, perhaps held his hand as he died so he did not die alone. So uncivilised, heartless and ungracious. On one of the vids I saw you can hear a bystander saying 'you've shot him, you've shot him' so it wasn't as if the ICE people who were there, but not in the skirmish, had no inkling of what had happened.Noem speaking now. Someone zoomed in on one the shooters. He did look Latino and he was kinda short with a slighter frame.
Filming or following at a distance, or blowing whistles or calling out or shouting even if they are not nice words, are not interfering with Federal Authorities.

What say you are there just observing, filming from your phone and then see someone near you affected by tear gas? Say you are a nurse and by training and by oath you happen to know a bit more than the layperson about what to do. Do you stand back and say to yourself 'Oh stuff them, I'm all right, I'll just stand by and not do anything' or do you say to yourself 'There are dangers to people with random application of tear gas so I'll go to help her out of the way....'. I'm pretty sure your nursing training will quickly and automatically override any idea of being a silent observer. I'm also prety sure that even for many people who are not nursing trained their instinct is to go forward to get someone out of harm's way. It is this instinct of going forward to help that actually is the stuff of bravery awards in times of war, the awarding of the Military Cross etc.
