He is still NOT in the court site... I got this hearing date from an article that was posted.

Monday, August 9th:
*Hearing (@ am CT) - MN - America Mafalda Thayer (55) (July 27, 2021, Shakopee, beheaded) - *Alexis Saborit (42) arrested (7/28/21) & charged (7/30/21) with 2nd degree intentional murder without premeditation & other charges that were pending: 1st degree arson-dwelling, 1st degree damage to property & obstructing legal process-interfering with LE. $2.5M bond.
Suspect is in custody, who multiple people say Saborit was in a long-term relationship with Thayer, where domestic abuse was a consistent problem. Court records reveal the suspect was convicted on domestic assault charges in 2017 & was currently facing arson carges for allegedly trying to burn his apartment down in 2020. Officers recovered a large knife in an alley near the scene. On the Saborit allegedly committed the atrocious murder, he was scheduled to appear in court but did not show up. On the most recent charges, he was released on $50K bond this spring.
Saborit is an illegal immigrant from Cuba who was wanted by ICE. ICE had tried in 2012 to remove Saborit from the US but his native Cuba would not approve the travel documents. Instead, Saborit was released on an order of supervision. ICE confirmed Saborit had a lengthy criminal history in the US, including domestic abuse convictions in Minnesota & Louisiana.

7/27/21 Update: On Wednesday afternoon, the suspect was scheduled to be in court, but didn't show up. Formal charges are expected to be filed in this case on Friday morning, 7/30/21. Suspect will be named once formally charged. Saborit was formally charged with 2nd degree murder, 1st degree arson-dwelling, 1st degree damage to property & obstruction legal process-interfering with LE.
7/30/21 Update: Saborit is charged with 2nd degree intentional murder after police say he decapitated his girlfriend, America & then threw her body into the street. During his appearance Saborit, speaking through an interpreter, not only declared his innocence but also alleged that Thayer was trying to extort & murder him & that he killed her in self-defense. He also asked the judge if he could be deported instead of go on trial, a request the judge quickly rebuffed. At the time of her death Saborit had an open case of arson against him. The county attorney shared in court that Thayer had bailed him out of jail & hired a private attorney with her own money to help him in the arson case. Saborit's attorney requested to be removed from the case, as he had developed a friendship with Thayer & wasn't sure he could fairly represent his client. Also in the court hearing, Saborit's attorney in his pending arson case asked the judge to remove him. The victim, Thayer, was the one who hired that attorney & he grew close to her while working on the case. The attorney felt it was a conflict of interest to keep defending him. If found guilty Alexis Saborit faces a recommended sentence of no more than 40 years in prison. His bond was set at $2.5M & next court hearing on 8/9/21.

Alexis Saborit, 42, made his court appearance at 8:30 a.m.

During the appearance, conditions for Saborit's release were established in the event he were to post bail. A bail hearing was held last month with his bail set at $2.5 million. Saborit remains in custody in the Scott County Jail, as of Monday morning.

Saborit's next scheduled appearance is in October.

got an article with his next court date!

Man Accused of Beheading Girlfriend in Broad Daylight Appeared in Court for the First Time — Here’s What Happened

In the event Saborit can come up with that kind of money, the order of release stipulates that he must keep the court & his attorney apprised of any change of address. Additionally, the defendant would be barred from leaving Minnesota, would not be allowed to consume any alcohol or “controlled substances not prescribed by a physician.” Saborit would also be ordered not to have any contact with the residents of his apartment or to travel to the residence noted in his criminal complaint. In this theoretical release scenario, the defendant would be expected not to use or possess any guns & to surrender any firearms he owns within three hours of being released.
According to the order, Saborit’s next court appearance is scheduled for Oct. 25. The next court date will be an “Omnibus Hearing”—the second hearing that follows an initial appearance where a variety of matters ranging from evidentiary issues to discovery.

From the complaint, a witness stated that the defendant and victim were sitting in a park. The defendant had a court date that he was blowing off and the victim was upset -- telling him missing court was going to cost his freedom.

After stabbing and decapitating the victim inside her own car, the defendant told investigators that she'd gone too far this time. She was abusing him with the court talk and how she was going to leave. Please, don't ever let this savage out of his cage. MOO

According to complaint: She was paying for his lawyer AND was driving him to his court date at the Scott County Court House. They were 4 blocks from the court house when he did this.
IMO She was urging/arguing for him to go, possibly forcing him to go and he obliviously did not want to and then did the worst thing I can imagine to stop her.

There will be a memorial service for her but I can't access it.

Man who allegedly beheaded girlfriend in Shakopee indicted for 1st-degree murder

A man accused of beheading his girlfriend and dumping her body on a busy street in Shakopee in July has been indicted for first-degree murder. Alexis Saborit, 42, of Shakopee was previously charged with second-degree murder in the death of America Thayer, 55, on July 28.

The indictment reveals Saborit allegedly told a friend days before the murder "I’m going to chop her f---ing head off" and then laughed.

Saborit told investigators Thayer was threatening to leave him so he killed her with a knife to her neck.

Saborit remains in custody. In light of these new charges, Saborit’s bond has been raised to $4 million with and without conditions.

He will make his next court appearance on Oct. 25.

BBM
IMO so glad it was upgraded to 1st plus a whopping $4 M (I don't remember a bond that high before)
The fact that he said it to a friend shows that he did premediate it. She was taking him to his arson court hearing because she wanted him to do the right thing. They were only a couple blocks from the court house and in the early afternoon when people are around. He does this horrific thing to the woman who he supposedly loved.
